That's awesome. I will have to keep track of it. Maybe I can convince my wife to move to LC from her RAV4.

Beware actual street prices may put the LC at the same cost as two RAV4s. Maybe in a few years when the hype dies down a bit.

And they would all be built in Japan.

More than that. A reasonably equipped RAV4 is $40-45k-ish. You’re probably looking at over $100k for a new LC with where Toyota prices are headed.

I'm not seeing that price at all. Not even in Australia are they that high.

Weren’t the outgoing ones $85-90k USD?

If they revamp the LC, no way it’s less than that.

This is a different model series. It will be less luxury and smaller wheelbase etc.

It will be 3 years or so for me. Her RAV4 is Japan built, and has been trouble free.
The deal braker for me will be TEMNA discount. If LC is available with TEMNA form, then we will buy one.
In 2021 Tundra and LC were not on the list, so we bought the Taco.

Remember when a single salary from a husband who didn't go to college was enough to buy a two-story house? :stirthepot:

^The purchasing power was considered normal in 1989, when the show began, and Land Cruisers looked like this:

If people are going to keep buying cars with interest rates at 8%, then the prices will have to be somewhat realistic.

To me the 2.4 Turbo is more realistic for the price than the 3.5TT unless they do a GR version in the future but I really don't think the 3.5TT will be the standard engine for the LC
