I just picked up a Kenwood KDC-HD545U CD player from crutchfield

Has the USB adapter in front so you can plug the IPOD in and it will charge. They all send you the mounting kit and wiring harness for free.

I used coupon code: 3A825 and recieved $20 off (any order over $100)

Whole thing cost me $149.00. Has an HD radio and IPOD/USB in. Can't beat Crutchfield. Best Buy charges $22 each for the mounting kit and wiring harness.

I've had my eye on this unit for awhile now.

Once it's all hooked up and running, let me know how the iPod interface is on the HU... e.g. how easy is it to navigate your library using the HU.

    thanks in advance

I've got an older Alpine in my 08. It used to be my 97 Tacoma and it's around 4 or 5 years old now. I-pod hookup works great on these. I've never had a problem with mine. This sounds like a good deal to me.

Yes.. The only thing I miss is not having a dedicated FM & AM button.. I hate cylcing thru FM1 FM2 FM3 AM because I go back and forth between FM and AM a lot.

That is a crazy coincidence.. My GF bought that exact same HU a while ago to put in her car but never got around to it. I dug it out last night and was trying to figure out if it would work in the tacoma but couldn't find a clear cut yes or no. So thanks for answering that for me!!

    2006 Corvette Z51 M6. Best mod ever!

I picked up a Kenwood with just the 3.5mm jack no usb for like 80 bucks at crutchfield I am really happy with it and it sounds fine with my stock speakers. Very simple install too.
