You've gone on some great trips. I feel like I've seen this truck locally before.

    Did the gears go in?

You probably have! I skulk around the valley. What area do you live at?

And the front gears went in last weekend. Having new ones shipped to me for the rear. I think the locker I picked up was a 4runner or FJ one, even though I pulled it from a 2013 TRD offroad tacoma. The ring and pinion for what would otherwise be 8" was too small. So that was fun.

I live pretty close to Sugar House park.

You'll have to update when you get the gears in. I too have 295's and while I love the size am ready to jump to 315's in the near future and will need to regear as well.

    Hey friends!
I'm officially entered in the Ladies Offroad Challenge and I'm entirely reliant on YOUR help.

    How to vote
You must log into Facebook in order for your vote to count. Leave a "like" and "comment" on the ORIGINAL post, rather than on any "shared" posts. A comment would be about why I would make a great addition to the ladies offroad team, if you want.

If you want to help EVEN MORE and share it on your page, which would be SO awesome, please make sure to direct people back to the original post to cast their vote. Again, liking and commenting on those shared posts DOES NOT COUNT. They MUST post on the original.

Thank you all in advance for any votes or shares! Capture.jpg

Also as a random side-note, please don't bombard my Facebook account with friend requests. Chances are very high that I will deny it. I like to keep Facebook for real-life friends (people that I have actually met). If I have the delightful pleasure to meet you one day, then I will happily accept then!

Are you guys ready to see some silly rear suspension shenanigans?

    Here's a few sneaks.

I'm amazed how well they have held up with our winters, and all the travel you put on them.

Gonna look great in my truck :anonymous:

I mean... I had to put a bit of elbow grease into cleaning them up but they shine nicely again.

I just mean when you compare the overall finish to the new ones, they aren't even oxidized that bad.

What is your plan for the front? Long travel? If so, go with a +3.5 kit. Don't waste money on a +2 kit.... just my $.02

Thanks! I'll eventually long travel but my current mid-travel setup isn't too bad

Not yet. Progress came to a grinding pause during these week days. REALLY hoping to roll it out of the shop this weekend.

Also I noticed you're from SLC. Have we met? Do I know you??

LOL! No, we haven’t met. Perhaps someday.

I took your advice from earlier in your thread and my truck is scheduled to go to Midnight 4X4 next week. There going to build my truck, which includes my SDHQ REM polished gears. I’m so excited. :taco:

EDIT: hopefully, the swap works out. I’m kinda wishing I would’ve went that route.

Randy and Josh over at Midnight are such AWESOME guys. They provided all the laser cut metal pieces for the swap, so I owe them big time. Let me know how it goes!!

Update for anyone curious, we FINALLY got the truck back on his own four wheels last night... err this morning.. at 4:22 AM. It was a 16 hour day yesterday putting that truck back together. But when you design custom shock hoops and have to get shackle angles just right, sometimes the measurements need to be done and then re-done a few times. Both of us were so tired we didn't want to move the pile of fencing railing blocking the truck in so I'll head over in a few hours to grab it!

In hindsight, it was such an insane project with so much checked off the list at once. I'm excited to share the photo dumb and write-up with you guys.
