I ended up ordering the mid height rack from RCI but I haven’t received it yet so I haven’t been able to mount the tent up and see how the annex looks. I’m not doing anything just yet until I see how much slack is in the annex. I’ll post photos and updates once I get everything set up and we’re are taking a 3 day trip over Memorial Day

The annex slack is a killer in the rain. It's all fun and games until you wake up and look down and the dog is sitting on an island watching the water all around him in a downpour at 3AM.

Finally crossed off a long thought of project; camp lights. Huge thanks to @memario1214 for hooking me up with the BD lights. Going to move the driver's side light forward to the cab rack because the cover from the RTT will block it since I realized we leave it hang there in camp and don't take it off.

 I need to do the same, but have to figure out a second battery set up, fuse and relay block, switch panel, and how to run it all in a clean way. All of this with zero electrical knowledge and no experience to know what I need, and what would be nice.

Hahaha the visual got me! If there is a lot of slack I’m going to figure out a way to shorten it. I’m sure I’ll come up with something

Good luck. I tried to brainstorm ways and ended up buying a cap. Now the tent is higher. Problem solved. $2700 later, but problem solved.

Those are pretty slick man. Only thing that gets me is they haven't been around long enough to really be put to the test. I appreciate your help.

It’s from the same factory as the ikamper.

but yeah. I get it. Mine comes later this month or early next. I’ve been researching brands for a bit now cause I’m freaking tired of buying tents (this is my third) so I want to buy one and be done. This is it for the price.

are there better ones out there? Of course. But you’re going to pay a lot more for full aluminum shells and what not. I figure with this one, there aren’t much moving components. And everything is really easy to fix and replace. Hell you tear the lining a new one is under $300. Crack the top? Seal it up as it’s abs plastic. Rivet comes loose? Put a new one in.
The key thing is the little amount of moving parts.

I wouldn't know what my next one would be. And im just at the 1 year mark for mine. A new achievement! :bananadance: Haha

I think if I do anything, i might mod the tent - take off the actuator arms, and replace with gas struts. But thats later down the road.

In the meantime, Ill stick to the easy DIY stuff, like adding this table to my swingout

They’re also importing Bush Co tents. (Probably one of the best in the business)

I made it. Friend gave me the piece of kitchen grade stainless, i cut/bent it, riveted in some reinforcements and the hinge. And then riveted it to my swingout. Today, I am adding stainless steel wire for more support, and then a threaded knob to keep it up when driving
