What cover are you running under your rack? Any challenges running your cover and rack together?

True story. Felt bad having to cancel but the time line was getting ridiculous. The TJM cost me $3.50 more than the Mt Bachelor in the group buy and is a bigger tent. It does not come with the annex but I didn't really plan to use the annex either, so that was a wash.

I just joined the club. I am now the proud owner of a CVT Mt. Rainier.

I bought mine through venture-pod.com. Great guy to work with and got it two days after the ship landed.

none. It's a roll-x tonneau, works great, can use the entire bed, cover rolls back the full length minus 3" (because of the vertical supports that run through the cover itself).

Thanks guys. I am lookong forward to using it next weekend.

The rack is a modified yakima control tower set. There are 4 bars to distribute the weight. The side bars I am building to hold rotopax tanks, shovel, etc.

Ya, that was really ironic since I had literally just gotten on the freeway and saw your truck. I met barney at that I5/highway 12 intersection. I recognized the box in the trailer first, then noticed how many there were and thought "he must be a dealer" then I saw the CVT on the side of the truck and it clicked.

I look forward to using the tent this weekend and hopefully doing more business. I'll need an awning/masquito netting some time.

Just a small thing I did this morning but some of you might find it handy. My truck would not fit in my garage simply because of the ladder stored on my RTT. So I started the season with removing the tent after each trip and reinstalling before the next trip so I could still keep my truck in the garage. Then it finally dawned on me this last trip why not make the ladder easy to remove instead. A ton less work then trying to load the tent each time. I finally got around to it this morning. All it took was to remove 2-10mm bolts that held the ladder on. Turns out they were not even the right bolts (I got the tent used) as they were in 5/16" holes. So I got 2-Hillman 5/16" pins and completed the task in just under 10 minutes. And now I fit in the garage. :)

You'd have been better off building the correct size garage. Priorities are out of line on this one. ;)

J/K. Honestly though you might just fit if you had a telescoping ladder instead of the sliding one. Measure the width of you ladder brackets and I'll see if the telescoping ladders I have will fit. I bet they're the same width. That would save you a couple inches at least.

Yeah if the garage door wasn't just a year old and super expensive (due to R rating for insulation) I considered having someone come in and just put in an 8' door.

The current ladder brackets on my tent have a span of 14"s between them. The ladder stack is 3.25"s high. I need to be about 1.5"s of less ladder thickness to squeeze under the door. You think a telescoping ladder might help me achieve that? Honestly I hate having to bring the drill with me to set up this ladder each time if we are different ground levels then the holes I already have in it.

Yeah dude. Let me measure the height of the ladder on mine and see how close we can get. I bet we can get it 1.5" lower then you'd be set. I'll get back to you.
