How do you like the kb voodoo bed bars? And how much weight were you running on them with the tent and people inside. Im debating if i need three bars or if the two will be enough.I really like the look of these. Also which cover is that? Looks good!

That’s what I was afraid of. I like the old tubular style, not the current one.

I feel you. I very much dislike these bolt together "modular" racks.

Have you seen the Mobtown over softopper rack. I guess its ok, because its tubes on the sides, and aluminum extrusions that go across

@DanishTaco I do like the KBVoodoo bars, they seem solid so far. I also do like that my tent sits even with the cab of the truck. My Wife and I have a history of long trips and fuel adds up and the low tent doesn’t effect the MPG it seems. The only down part is crawling in on your side, but we pack in large totes so they slide In and out realitively easily.

My tent Is about 130 pounds, and the three of us probably have a combined weight of 340. I have a four year old and a wife.

Yup. I really dislike the look of the formed sheet metal modular racks. But they have the advantage of being much easier to ship and install. I tried to design a bit of a hybrid. Something with more of the look of a traditional tube rack while trying to capture some of the advantages of the modular racks. Devil is in the details though.

Have a three day trip next week and it's already hot and humid as the Devil's Asscrack here in NC. Picked this up to take the edge off.

DUDE! I’m planning on one of those too! I have 8 or 10 20volt batteries! Specific to that one because of all the batteries I have!

Same, I've got 6 or 8 Dewalt 20V tools and double that number of batteries. Lowes is running a deal right now where you buy the fan and get a free charger and 3 AH battery. Pretty good deal. It makes some noise but not too bad, and it has a rheostat so its fully adjustable, not just three speed.

    I like these ones.
Especially if you already have the battery platform.

I personally picked up a rechargeable fan that @Shellshock has and it’s worth every penny. Low setting runs for 24 hours confirmed. Medium 12 hours. High 6 hours. The thing puts out some air though. And it can run plugged in. I use it every night actually on my bed because I’m to lazy to fix my ceiling fan lol and it’s super quiet.

That's what I've been using. Wasn't enough so wanted to step up to the bigger fan.

Was it 98.00 $ or something close with the battery and charger?

It was 119 then you get the free battery and charger. you can get it for 98-100 on ebay though, but for me its worth the extra 20 for the battery
