I have the same hoist. Works great and powered by my cordless drill. 250lbs weight limit, so I only hoist my tent with it (200lbs) and chuck the bag of hardware and the hoist rod on to of the tent.
Had a second one in a previous life that was used for a JK hard top.

It's fine. Tent is about 160, Diamondback and Frontrunner rails are all aluminum so maybe 40#. I've got the awning stored up on top so maybe thats another 15.

Nice! It makes for a great setup to remove it all in one shot.

What shell do you have, & how do you have the RTT attached to it? I'm looking to do the same but struggling with possible shell strength issues.

Snugtop Rebel with sportsman package. Using a PrinSu rack and PrinSu RTT feet you attach the tent. Been using it for a few months now with Zero issues.

How do you like your tent? Is it the premium version?

I think someone a short time ago, did some group buy where they ordered direct and then shipped out to folks once they got state side.

    Yeah.
CVT used to do a group buy every year for a bigger discount than they already give TW members. That puts the price a lot closer, plus they provide support.

Customer support would be my concern ordering direct.

Wonder if it’s time to open a north east branch.

I've ordered some stuff from verified Alibaba suppliers and they've been pretty good with support. For example, recently we remodeled our kitchen and bought a hundred cabinet handles. A few of them arrived with paint blemishes. The supplier sent out a dozen to cover damaged ones.

...As we slowly-but-still-too-quickly made our way through the mountains, @mrs.turbodb discovered that not far from the route, a hike - to ********* Canyon, apparently allowed those who put in a little effort to enjoy a series of petroglyph panels, and we knew that despite it already being after 5:00pm, we had to make the trek....

I was looking into the Exped Megamat but none of them are quite wide enough.
Has anyone bought the (expensive) Siesta Mattress from Tepui? Looking for some comfort comparison and how it works when closing the tent (especially a Ruggedized tent).

The width is what has held me back from purchasing the exped. Its already tight with 3 of us in the tent, don’t want to make it any narrower.

I bought a $30 no name 1.5" memory foam topper off Amazon, threw a sheet over it and my girl says it makes a world of difference for her. Plus if I want to trim it, or if it gets dirty or gross then I'm out 30 bucks instead of $300.

Tepui Kukenem ruggedized 3. Still folds up with the mattress topper, and blankets with the room to spare. My gauge is always putting the cover back on. When it was new and naked the cover could clearly expand another 2-3" and all that stuff gets squished down pretty good when folded.
