Yes, I machined a bezel out of aluminum for the blue sea elec panel to fit in the spot like yours.

Trying to find a RTT and rack mounting solution for a family of four. Almost too much information to sift through...seen lots of two person tents, not so many for four peeps. Kids are elementary and middle school, so I think a four person would work. Possibly, some sales might come up in Oct or Nov?

TuffStuff is having a presale on their big tent. Bed is essentially a king bed when folded out.

i think if you need bigger than 87x71 you should look into a camper. Thats a lot to be carrying around.

I don't disagree. We are looking at the new square drops to put the Tepui on top, and have two up and two down.

im no small guy at 6'9" 260 but thankfully the wife is tiny so we can make it work. If we ever have kids once they get bigger itll be time for a trailer of some sort because us two alone fill up our tent easily.

What about a ground tent for the kids or some sleeping bags in the annex

You could ask CVT about their Three Sisters tent. I highly doubt it will fit on a taco though. You might need a Suburban with a long roof.

Or you could do a RTT on your truck, and a RTT on your trailer. These are my friends out in CO.

We've used both of those methods with varying degrees of success. The Tepui has spoiled them.

I would pay you my hard earned money for something like that vs my hack job with the OEM cubby door.
