I use some paracord and a 1/4” eye on my Prinsu. If you zoom in right behind my Roam box, you can see the green paracord.

I just did a couple of months ago it's a pretty easy loop with a few harder side trails. The only official camping is the cathedral valley campground which only has six spaces so I'd leave early enough to ensure you get one. Overall great loop, anything specific you want to know?

Here's a short video I made from our cell footage of the trip.

    https://www.youtube.com/embed/8zSbkcC5-k0

The spots were a bit tight in the camp area so we had to squeeze in next to each other.

Yes, great video, I believe I have it on my Watch Later! Nice, I guess what I want to know is if an average driver can do the loop? I'm not a hardcore off-roader, so I was wondering what kind of driving the loop would be. Thanks.

Oh yeah, the main trail is just a long dirt road with no real challenges. We had deep sand in some areas that got a few Subarus stuck but was no problem for us, it's also usually packed back down by this time of year after all the spring rain. Both our trucks are completely stock mine was actually only 2 weeks old and still on temp tags when we did it lol. It's a really fun trail and compared to Moab pretty empty with a bunch of cool side trails and hikes to break up the driving.

Nice, I don't have anything crazy done to my truck either. Actually very similar setup to your own. That's great to know, we're planning on rolling through there around the first or second week of May. The weather looks decent, mostly cloudy and some light rains here and there.

Just curious as I'm looking into buying my first RTT this year. Why a flip pack vs a pop up?

Seems the pop ups are lower profile and more aero dynamic plus can be mounted lower and have a more simple set up?

There's got to be a reason flips are more popular?

    Price?

As for a cheap tent anyone ever heard of these? "Antidote" pop up tents?

Trolling CL and came across this ad a while back they're still running it so I'm more curious than anything.

They're less than half of the Magginolina/Auto Home I was looking at and are the same style, where are they cheeping out? This has got to be too good a deal to be an actual deal yeah? I imagine a RTT isn't something you want to go cheap on and yet most seem way overpriced for as simple as they actually are.

Picture and the ad's text after.

For me, price and footprint. You pretty much have to have the hard shell tents up above the roof line because they’re longer than the bed. I wanted something I can keep low and below the roofline.

Same here. My 23Zero Weekender 56 fits perfect over the bed of my Tundra and is even with the roof line on a mid height caliraised bed rack.

What steered me to the hard clamshell. Was a few trips with friends that had flip style and I was either in the back under the softtopper or ground tent. There has been a few windy nights that I didnt even notice. However everyone with a flip style tent said the wind kept them up all night. The flapping and all the noise. So, I went hardshell clamshell for that reason.

Yeah that's what I was looking for, any with it deployed?

The footprint on that thing looks huge what does it sleep four people?

No, doesnt sleep 4. 2 Adults or 2 adults 1 small kid. Its the CVT Mt Hood medium. Outside dimensions 85Lx56W. Does weigh a good bit.
If you need to sleep 4, then you will need to go flip style. Or ground tent.
As for photos. I'm pretty horrible at taking pics. So, I'll have to head to the woods and take some soon.

Nah I only need one, maybe one a possible second and a dog at the biggest.

Been sleeping either under the shell or in the open bed with mosquito netting weather permitting.
