Agreed. It's either way out there, or swinging under the tent.

Nope, I have drilled a few different sets of holes for multiple adjustments since I don't always camp on the most level ground. haven't noticed any issues.

My CVT (many years old now, but same style ladder as your tent) didn't even come with holes. Drilling your own at whatever height you need used to be the only way to do it and I haven't had any problems with mine in.. ?6 or 7 years?

those with those exped mattresses, do you still have condensation issues? this weekend was really the first time i noticed condensation on the bottom of my mattress, only on one half too. if the exped deals with this better, i may just grab one of those instead of getting the anti mat

Got an English bulldog and lifting him up and out is getting tricky. My friend has an annex which is where his pup sleeps but the ladder to his RTT is inside the annex, where as mine would be outside. Another option is getting something like this:

I have and use an anti-condensation mat, so can't really share a real-world experience, but I don't think the ExPed would do anything different than the standard mattress. The coverings are very similar.

I miss-placed my Smittybilt rtt poles last fall and Smittybilt wants $26 a pair. Ironman has them for $30 for 8, but out of stock until August. Anyone have another source or DIY replacement?

Which ones? To support the awning, or to hold open the window flaps?

hmm... thats tough, just because I think of the shape and diameter of the hole in the tent body.
Its gotta be pretty damn close.
I could only really thing of two things... go snag an old tent from Goodwill and if there are some fiberglass support poles you could fashion, or shimmy around Lowes and see if there are some alum/metal rods you could bend do your will!

    Sorry, not much help.

    ...

CVT, Tepui, etc. -- basically all the designs that look the same, are the same, with one caveat. I do know that the rugged and standard editions of the CVT tents come with different length rods. But, all the rods are the same length as each other.

So what I am saying is to call the other tent companies with similar tents and see what they have.

not to say it’s not possible but I haven’t had it happen yet. I’ve camped a few nights in the mid 20s and no condensation at all from interior body heat.

I do use a small battery fan as an exhaust, so not sure if that made the difference or not.

this is with an anti condensation pad as well.

If anyone is wondering the Exped mega mat 10 duo LW is too wide to fit inside of the iKamper Mini by about 3 inches.

Update: I decided to keep the MegaMat even though it’s slightly too big. It’s so ridiculously comfortable and when deflated leaves a lot more room for bedding. It’s not perfect, but I love it anyway.

    Interesting.Their website claims "Floor (Dimensions/Area) 83” x 51” / 29.4 sq. ft." I assume that is an internal dimension.

Does the mini neck down? Is it wider in one area and narrower in another?
