Where is the leak coming from?

Basically they had a bad run of shells and won't own up to it. It cracked where the shell collects water in several spots. The shell was fading so bad I just plastidipped the whole thing and reinforced the underside where it cracked. That worked for about a year. I tried some flex seal spray and that slowed the leak a lot. 20200907_103803.jpg 20200919_122630.jpg

    Stealing this idea.
I have a Harkan Hoister 7806 in my garage right now but no time to fab up the hoist onto the joists.

    2"x6" marked and ready

Giant cardboard box as a template

I just need another body to assist with the 2"x 6"s

    Sweet idea!
Question for you, why don't you just bolt the tent to the rack with a single bolt at 4 points? Instead of creating a "sandwich" with 2 bolts and a plate at each 4 points?
I run the single bolts and it's never moved a millimeter on me. So fast to take on and off.

    Genius.

I did something similar, but much cheaper and ghetto lol. I ended up buying some rubber non-slip furniture pads and just slide those under each corner once I get the tent on. also laid down some grip tape on the bedrack underneath them for extra non-slip lol...probably unnecessary but doesn't hurt.

I like a full size one but my tent don't close all the way with it. I do like having all my camping stuff inside the RTT just so i can open it up and go and not have to keep it in the cab.

I can tell you that even though my Tepui Kukukachew ruggedized is lovely Orange, it still gets hot inside.
Granted that my internal temp/furnace runs hot, yeah White would be great!

    Yeah.
Might look dingy after a while, and if you like to sleep in a bit sometimes, it will likely get really bright in there early.

So my pup tore a hole in my SeatoSummit inflatable double. After trying to patch and repair with no success and not wanting to spend that money again I went with The Foam Factory's "Lux High Quality Foam" in a full size at 3" thick for my ARB. I haven't had a night in it yet (90s and high humidity all month) but from trying it out in the tent for 15 minutes, rolling around I don't feel any pressure points. With the length of the mattress I still have about 14" of uncovered floor in the tent that I covered with some anti-fatigue foam for shoes/clothes bag. I would highly recommend just replacing with quality foam if anyone is looking around. There is plenty of room to keep 2 pillows and 3 blankets inside still.

After a hot and muggy trip a couple years ago I said no more and went for one of the 18v job site fans. Just hang that up on one of the tent cross bars and its like a ceiling fan for the tent. The CFMs on them are hard to beat. But you certainly won't be getting them for a steal like that :kona:
