    Public Service Announcement.

I stumbled upon this while YouTube surfing. It's not for everyone but if you have an adequate power source it might be useful. And the price isn't bad considering what you are getting.

Interesting, I've been looking at Zero Breeze and Eco Flow's new portable AC.. But this one is a much more affordable price point. Do you have one of these? If so, how does it perform? I live in Vegas so our heat is pretty unbearable during the summer so something to help cool myself and the dogs off would definitely expand the trips we take

No, I don't have one. I just discovered it while YouTube surfing. I wouldn't mind having one but it is not high on my priority list.

Thought I posted this here before...around $100 and some change for this setup. Used on a trip to Devils River State Natural Area here in Tejas. Temps in the upper 90s all day and mid/low 80s at night. That little AC kept the tent temps in the mid 70s and sucked the humidity out. It was connected to my gas generator...THAT noise sucked. I still got some decent sleep from being out of the heat though.

Side note...that was the last time I put the rtt on my little farm trailer. I needed my truck bed for this trip.

Do you know how much power that drew? I have a Jackery 1000, but not sure how long a unit like this would even last on a battery, especially having to go through the AC inverter

No I don’t sorry. And I also thought about going that route but I only have a Jackery 500. There are some RV folks that ran a small AC unit on a 1000. YouTube has some vids on this setup. I stopped my research when a little gas generator went on sale and was under a time constraint. The noise sucks though so I camp more fall to spring.

Hi All! Looking for opinions on this. I'm refurbishing my 2013 CVT St. Helens tent and putting it on C4 Fabrication Lo-Pro Bed Bars (https://www.overlanddepot.com/collections/2nd-gen-tacoma/products/c4-fabrication-lo-pro-bed-bars). The tent will overhang the bed by a foot, and fully loaded with two people will weigh about 450lb. It's been suggested to me that since the back bed bar will be about 12" in from the tailgate, I could forgo adding the bed stabilizers that are long on backorder from 4 Wheel Parts (https://www.4wheelparts.com/p/4-wheel-parts-factory-tacoma-bed-stiffeners-61748w/_/R-4WPBR-61748W), if/when they arrive. Yea or nay, what do you think?

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
You won't regret adding bed stiffeners. Many options out there besides the ones from 4WP. Total Chaos seem to be the favorite. With that weight on the bed you should be adding them, and there's no downside to them.

Buy the Total Chaos bed stiffeners. And you absolutely will need them. The end of the truck is just formed sheet metal. The weight of the tent will become an issue, especially if you off-road at all.

There is overlap. You can cut it or just let it overlap a little. I opted for latter. Will update with photo when able.

    Edit: added photos demonstrating overlap

I cut mine with a box cutter. Easy peasy.

Yup, I did the same. Hasn't been an issue for me aside from occasionally snagging on stuff when I am loading the bed. But not enough of an issue for me to correct it.
