    Oh man…
I wanted mine high so I could walk under it and the awning, and also have plenty of room in the bed. I went with the Leitner forged and couldn’t be happier with it. It has t-slots everywhere so you can really tailor it to work the way you want it. I have hooks for towels, cooking equipment, tie downs, put rock lights on the rear bar for cooking at night. Possibilities are huge. Recent piece I put on was the fly rod holder. Shifted the load bars over to the drivers side to hang it off the bottom. Added a 3rd load bar a while ago and I hang a diesel heater in a pelican case off it. I second you on the ikamper 2.0 things are soo sweet. I recently got the new kb voodoo max modular rack mid height and my current tent is just slightly above the cab of the truck. I recently was using their hi rise crossbars which are currently for sale if you are interested. I loved their hi rise bars and the simplicity I wanted to change up my whole setup due to having kids and needing to have more storage space in the bed.

Unfortunately I haven’t used it yet. The other half is dragging her feet on the roof rack. She can’t decide which one she likes, and doesn’t want to get an “ugly one” put on her car

I’m thinking we’ll be going with a rhino rack though, and I’ll need to figure out mounting once it shows up.

lol i've had a hardtop shell for probs 5-6 years now. Got it in the group buy in 2017 lol

Ahh you had a softtop so now you're moving to a hard top. Makes sense. Yeah the setup time for mine is probs that long if i dont walk at a brisk pace. Good to see hardshells finally getting the respect. They're not as big as softshells but you trade many of the negatives of a softshell. It's good for 1-2 people which is the max number i want in my tent period anyway

    Oh man…
I’ve definitely thought about it! Also thought about having it paint matched, but I doubt I’d like that. I scratch and pinstripe mine a lot, so I think for me the wrap would get wrecked. Main reason I wanted a hard shell. Takes a beating. And if I did smash a spot in it, it would be easy to patch.

I would love to do a cool wrap on it though…

I put a wrap on my x-cover after iKamper shipped me the wrong color and refused to correct it.

Just a bunch of old crap
This stuff is medical grade disinfectant and also removed all of the black mold stains from my Alu-Cab RTT after a bad leak developed huge amounts of black mold.

    RMR-141 cleaner.jpg

Get the gallon bottle. You can thoroughly do the entire tent with half of the bottle or less, but you may want to clean it again a few times. I have OCD so I cleaned inside and out about 3 total times and still have half a bottle left for future whatever.

Oh, and its safe for hard surfaces and fabrics, and it's people-safe. This is used in hospitals to clean anything around patients. I have to sleep in this tent and didn't want toxic chemicals from siding cleaners or other harsh products.

Recommended cleaning process that worked for me:
    1. Get a sprayer bottle and spray this stuff all over the fabric and surfaces of your tent
    2. Close the tent up and let it soak in overnight. This will nuke any mold, viruses, bacteria, spores, cooties, etc.
    3. Open the tent back up the next day and get some cotton terry towels. Start spraying your surfaces and wipe well. Some of the black mold spots took a little extra scrubbing and maybe another spraying and wiping. Watch it disappear.
    4. Enjoy your sterilized and clean tent
    5. *Disclaimer - my fabric is a bonded heavier fabric used on Alu-Cab products. It is impregnated with a water-resistant substance, but the fabric still feels porous. It's thicker and less absorbent than other tent brand fabrics.

I used it in this video where I totally overhaul the tent and disinfect it in the process.
