Pretty much stock with some crap welded to it.
you know, idk i bought the tent from a local dude, it didnt have a cover, rain fly, and he sent me with the wrong anex, but he did say it was the original ladder, so id imagine it is. the guy was kind of weird tho so who knows, i kind of think it was like a floor model at one point

well it sounds to me like the original ladder probably broke at least in part as a result of the damage that bent the tent base. Either ladder you replace it with will work fine, just pick what you want. As I mentioned, I prefer the telescoping one but both will work.

Alright Gents I will be joining the RTT club soon and I'm already trying to plan out the list of mods/things to buy to complete the PreRunner/Expo setup. Going back to the electrical/accessory talk, does anyone have pics of what they're running? Like the additional 12V power to the bed like Jlink talked about ^... Also where can I tap into a hot wire that will always give me power? I have the general idea of what needs to be done but just need alittle more input and direction. I do have the TRD plug in the bed already but I'm leaning more towards replacing the stock inverter with a larger one that fits in the same spot.

I like the idea of running a dual battery setup but it prolly wont happen anytime soon, so I'm in the market for a new reliable battery capable of running my retros, off road lights, and then the accessories for the RTT (OEM, diehard, optima....not sure which to go with) anything is better than my POS interstate battery from Costco haha.

I like this idea spencer, ill stay tuned to see what you end up doing but I understand the dilemma lol

You need pics of a 12v outlet in the bed? Just buy a 12v outlet, install it in the bed where ever works for you.
As for power to it, run a wire from the battery with an inline fuse, or from an aux fuse box if you have one. It's good to have power in the bed so run a decent size wire like 10 gauge so you can add other shit too. For example I have bed lights and rear bumper mounted camp lights powered from that wire too. The less "tapping into" stock wiring the better. Should take you 10 minutes to run a wire along the frame rail from the front to the back, just follow the brake lines or something.

As far as a battery, the sears diehard platinum group 31M is good. Way more power than a stock battery and the "M" means "marine grade" which means you can run it down and recharge or jump it without damaging it. It's called "deep cycling"

And don't waste your time upgrading the stock inverter. You'd have to replace all the wiring anyway because it's not capable of handling more wattage. Dont know what you'd use that outlet for anyway except maybe a blender for margaritas.

2 for 2 this morning! haha thanks again! but I like your thinking with the margaritas....already have that problem solved and ordered a coolest cooler  Im just a visual type is why I asked for pics but I understand what you mean, im just way overthinking it haha (electrical shit always stresses me out). didn't even consider running a wire with a fuse right off the battery  I appreciate the insight man, I may just go with that diehard. I read up on em recently and heard good things....good excuse to buy a pelfreybilt battery cage too

Lol. Yea I'm a visual guy too so I know what you mean.

I'm using the stock battery hold down, just with longer J hooks. The pelfreybuilt tray looks nice, I just can't justify that much money for something that I don't need.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I have a 12v plug wired into my left side bed box. Run oversized wire and fuse it and you'll be good to go. I think I'm gonna figure out some kinda plug inside the floor of mine using the 12v guitar plug style flush mounted type plugs. I'd much rather do that and have a tiny plug in the floor than a giant regular size plug. It'll take an extra couple hours to cut and solder a new male plug onto whatever I want to use in the tent, but those items will likely stay in there. I'm thinking a light and USB charging plug will be all I'll really need in there. Maybe some 12v heater, but without dual battery and with my little buddy propane heater I think I'll be fine .
Just gotta think outside the box there are many different cleaner options than a giant 12v plug

I just meant to show the inline fuse from the battery, I know its not a 12v plug.

    Ahh ok

The back of that is just 2 male spade terminals right? Did you do anything to weatherproof it? I've had quite a few crap out in the bed from road salt/rain/mud and shit spraying up in the fenders. Can't seem to find any that are actually weathertight front and back.

The other day at home depot I saw some of this stuff. Never used it myself but it looks like it might be a viable option.
