CVT Bachelor is 1200, adv. Sole m series is the same size and is 1400. How is that cheaper?

I bought my Mt. Rainier from a dealer with 20% off. Sometimes you can get a deal if you call around to local shops too; whether you are talking about CVT, Tepui, etc). Not sure if you looked but ARB also has their version of RTT as well as smittybilt.

It was just a comparison table provided on their website regarding tent sizes... they also have a specs section too (fabric weight is listed there). I was just comparing prices.

The Adventure Sole RT Echo M-Series is priced at $1,399.99 and the CVT Mt. Rainier Roof Top Tent (it’s equivalent) is priced at $1,795.00. Not sure where you getting your numbers. And even if the CVT Bachelor was cheaper... that's 1 tent that's cheaper, everything else is cheaper at ASRT.

Not sure why I'm defending myself here, I haven't even bought a tent from them yet... I was just stating a fact.

@DoorDing, maybe you should contact them and let them know. I was just trying to gather information from you guys about the best rooftop tents out on the market and it's obvious there are biases here (which is okay)... I just don't feel like defending myself on a tent I haven't even purchased.

Fair enough @DoorDing. Thank you for stating that they (ASRT) don't provide the fabric weight, which is probably something worth noting. I will send them an email and find out.

I agree. If the fabric weight is as good or similar as tepui or cvt.. you got yourself a hell of deal. please report to us your findings, you might end up saving a lot of money for the rest of us that are looking for an RTT also.

if not, then all you have to do is weight out your options (pun intended)

    report your findings please!

I was advised by Adventure Sole RT that it's 280g poly-cotton ripstop fabric. I told them that they might want to put that on their website... it could help them win/lose a few sales if they don't. Just saying!

I'm planning to get an RTT later this year so I'm definitely learning a lot from this thread. I'm leaning heavily towards a Tepui since they're local to me but with the above discussion about adventure sole rt, I decided to look into them and compare them (on paper) against Tepui and CVT.

Looks like the equivalent tents are:
    1. Adventure Sole RT - Bravo RT M-Series
    2. CVT - Mt. Bachelor
    3. Tepui - Kukenam Camo
Note: the values in the table below are just from what I found on the websites above.

While the adventure sole is cheaper by ~$125, there is a drop off in rainfly material. Also, the bravo-rt page says the annex walls are optional.

I'm not associated with any of the products nor do I own any (yet) but just decided to do a quick comparison.

I don't know that specific product but many of the waterproof coating materials also cut down the breathability of the material. This would end up with more condensation and hold in the heat more then necessary.

I got a CVT Mt. Cayley. Its footprint is 2 inches shorter than the accessrac folded up so it will fit perfectly. Anything bigger hangs off the back which isn't that big of a deal. It is just for my Girlfriend and I so I didn't need all the space though. We really wanted the annex.

That makes sense. I thought there must be a reason more people don't do it.
