So, I got my CVT a couple of weeks back and its currently mounted to my Gobi rack. They came with a clamping plate style bracket which I'm not fond of, is there a different mount you guys are using to attached to a 1" round tube bars?

    Thx! I'll look into that.
I like that locking idea as well!

Any auto zone/oreilly's etc will have diff size exhaust clamps. I added the fuzzy side of velcro adhesive to the inside of the clamp so that there isn't metal to metal contact.

The lock is actually a Bolt lock - keyed alike to my taco key

What size is yours? I only see 1.5" as the smallest. Will check out AutoZone later for 1"

    Mine are 1.25"

Go to diff shops, I had to go to different places to find all 4 clamps. Make sure you check inside the box too, sometimes people swap them in there.

    Thanks again.
Have you guys found a way to protect your rails from sliding the tents on without damaging or scrapping off the powdercoat?

I keep a 2 person sleeping bag, 2 full size pillows, and a egg crate foam mattress topper in my tent folded up while camping. I only take them out when I put the tent away for the season.

What makes them different, other than color? When I spoke with CVT during the groupbuy they said only the color but there seem to be some differences in the pictures.
