Similar to Tepui Ruggedized I think.

Stronger construction and material, lights inside, shoe holder, color, anti condensation mat, Stronger diamond plate bottom.

Stronger fabrics than he ruggedized iirc. Aluminum diamond plate floor with honeycomb structure inside, stronger than the last generation joist design. Bags for shoes sewn in, new ladder, lots of upgrades.

Got any pics of how the lights are wired in? Is it gonna be a plug so You can easily take the tent off still?

Wow, such an improvement over all the other options out there. Looks like the LED is attached with zip ties. Quality work...

It does but to be fair how different can you really get with a RTT? Yeah it does have some small things that tepui doesn't like the shoe bags but still. Definetely not a fan of the color.. Anyone else notice there is no cvt logo on that tent though?

The logo will be on there, big summit series logo too if i recall. It may LOOK like the ruggedized but everything is beefier on these tents. Like northwest said, no ones really redesigning the wheel here but upgrading all the materials is making something that has already served me well into something even better. Thats a win in my book.

Just got my setup and tested it out for a weekend of hunting on Vancouver Island, BC.

ARB Pilbara with annex (not pictured) on Thule bed racks, 2014 SR5.

Now, to keep tenting through this winter, what do you all do to keep warm? I had a catalytic propane heater for my boat, but I would never sleep with it on. I was thinking a small 12v cigarette style plug ceramic heater to plug into my battery booster pack to get some sort of warm air circulation. Thoughts?

For me it all came down to customer service, there wasn't a ruggedized when I was buying so the tents were even more similar, but ultimately it was the customer service of CVT that made me buy from them. From there it developed into a friendship with Bobby, and ultimately a business relationship as I'm Ak's only dealer. If I could do it all over again? I'd dothe exact same thing.

Where can we get those tube wraps for the 3 support poles in a non summit series? I'd like those

It would be nice to see one of these companies take the time to actually design a new tent instead of just recycling the same china made products that every other company sells. There is tons of room to improve on these tents. The companies have established themselves, now lets see something out of the norm.

That's a pretty bold statement without having specs to back it up. Regardless, the small changes in the fabric strength are hardly beneficial. My "inferior" no name brand RTT fabric was equal to that of the ruggedized as far as anyone could tell and it was equivalent to cvt's older models too. It may hold up longer but plenty of people have more than enough years on older rtt's without issues on a lighter fabric to make it a worthy "upgrade" for anyone. The buckles may be better but will the sewing on the cover hold up this time? Ill be impressed when a company steps up and creates a lighter/smaller profile rtt that uses an entirely different fabric. No reason these things have to be as thick and bulky as they are.

Same with me but seems to be the exact opposite. I couldn't get ahold of Bobby for questions at all what so ever. PM'ed @Box Rocket and within 15 minutes had a response with answers to all my questions in detail.

I looked at both. I got great answers and customer service from both but wanted the model I have and Tepui doesn't make it.

    Love both companies.

Perfect! You guys can always contact me with questions as well regarding CVT, if nothing else I may have an easier time routing things to Bobby. Theres a lot of us out there and he's but one man. Happy to do that.

I find the Tepui to be a lil more pricier for an equivalent model and I hear they may not participate in future GB. But in general I find each to have trade off between the two. I would have gone with the Summit series had I known about it during the last GB. So far, I find the stitching to be lacking and inconsistent as well as the zippy lining loose and the aluminum insert channel to be rough and edgy on my current CVT. Other then that, I'm happy so far.

Good idea. I have one of those sitting in my garage somewhere. I thought I could use it for something eventually.
