Totally forgot about that. When I got mine I had to do the same thing.

X2 to this. They don't really seem to do anything. I'm ditching mine. After about 6-7 trips in it, I still have to tuck all the fabric anyways when loading it up. They seem like a good idea in theory, but more hassle than benefit in my opinion.

@scottalot the inside of the overlander tent is about 54" wide. I laid down with my feet touching one end and had over a foot between my head and the other end of the tent. I'm 6' for ref.

Bobby @Cascadia Tents has once again proven that he and the company are amazing! I bought a Mt Shasta thru last years group buy and used it all summer and fall hunting season with no issues. Come December the PNW received the most rainfall I think on record. My gf and I were getting ready to go snow camp and I opened up the tent to find mold all along the tent where it unzips from the cover. I talked to Bobby and got some pointers on what to look for when folding it up. he got me a new mattress and I got it cleaned up. Well about 3 weeks after cleaning it and getting a new mattress the rain still had not stopped. And went out to go fishing and the mold was back and had actually worked thru the fabric to the inside of the tent. I call Bobby and without hesitation he says lets swap it out. Now I live in Portland so Bend isn't too far and I like the drive so I headed over on Saturday. Somehow, the water was soaking thru the blue fabric where the cover zips to, and then soaking into the tent material and spreading. No idea how this was happening and I talked to several other people and no one was having this issue. Well we got it swapped out and I also picked up one of the new CVT Anti-Condensation mats that Bobby graciously offered in exchange for my troubles. Check it out below. No cutting, or using Velcro to hold it to the tent floor. It is about 2-3 times as thick as the old and rigid enough it folds and unfolds without any issues. If anyone is unsure about which brand to go with, I urge you to give Bobby a call and just chat with him. He is an awesome dude with an awesome product.

Oh and the Summit Series is amazing. The fabric is thick and durable, the aluminum plate base is rock solid and the interior LED light and shoe bags are a great touch. And the neon green is actually pretty awesome.

I just use a cloth basket that has handles. One handle goes through the overhang pole and then I use a carabiner to attach the other end to the ladder. Works great and its big enough to throw my pants in there too.

Yeah, super easy to make one or reuse something in the garage. But the Summit Series comes with them and they're made from the same tent material. I should have gotten more pics when I was at CVT.

If you don't follow Tepui on FB you may have missed the announcement of an exciting new product. Custom Embroidered fitted sheets for your RTT. I just got a set of these and they are really nice if you prefer to sleep with sheets and blankets instead of a sleeping bag. The benefit of these over standard bed sheets is that these are custom fit to the tent mattress with cutouts around the hinges for a perfect fit versus standard sheets that are made for much thicker mattresses and just don't fit well.
Now your Tepui tent will feel even more like sleeping at home in your own bed! 310 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton.
    Check them out here!:

    One more thing...
If anyone is going to be at Jeep Safari next week, I will be set up outside the Gearheads shop on Main Street all day Saturday (3/26) showing the ORIGINAL Ruggedized tents from Tepui. I'll have a couple different models there to check out and can answer any questions and take on the spot orders too. Same 10% off that you get here.
    .
I'll also be at Cruise Moab a few weeks later with the same stuff (as well as some raffle prizes from Tepui) for anyone that will be attending that event.

I spent last night in my RTT, was the first time since July that I had a chance to use it. It was pretty cold, about 25° out. I was warm enough but for the first time I had a very hard time getting comfortable. Took me quite a while to get to sleep and I woke up multiple times. Never had this issue before with the RTT. :(

Since the majority of you guys/gals have bed racks in this thread....

Next up I'm working on my off-road fuel/water/storage setup.

I have an all-pro bed rack and am looking at going with the Rotopax containers.

My question... For those that are using Rotopax, how did you install them on your racks? Did you use the universal mounting plate? Just the single mounts? I'm looking for photos of the install and for location ideas.

    Thanks!
