Got my CVT Mt. Shasta all set up today! Had a stupid moment though and tried to open it with the buckles still snapped together and I bent a small part on the ladder, was able to hammer it back down though so it works fine now though lol

On CVTs how is the Anti Condensation supposed to go in the tent? Do you leave it all the time even when closed or do you just take it in and out? My condensation mat seemed too big for my tent so I cut it down a little bit and then in half so it would fold easier

I leave mine in all the time. Its cut into two pieces, each piece being screwed down, so it doesn't move.

How did you go about screwing your condensation mat down?

The hardware kit that shipped with it consists of large fender washers and self tapping screws.

My new Gran Sabana Ruggedized tent should be shipping today, so... That's pretty badass!

I do have a couple questions for you guys, though, so if there are any 1st gen guys out there rocking the All-Pro Pack Rack, Gear Rack and a RTT, please chime in!

I'd love some feedback on the rack height. For now, I don't want to go lower than 16" above the bed rails, and no more than 22" above them. The drivers are the following:

    - my cab height above the bed rails is about 22". I'd prefer the RTT deck to be no higher than this point.
    - the AP gear rack deck appears to be about even with the bed rails and accommodates three of my 8gal Action Packers, which are about 13" tall. Factoring in 1.5" diameter rack tubes, and a bare minimum of 1.5" of space between the tubes and the bins, and you have 16".
    - I'm 6'2", and I'd like to not have to stoop too much under the RTT deck inside the annex. My WAG for the cab height after a lift and tires is around 75" (6'3"). So that makes the full 22" rack height a bit more attractive.
    - for context, the truck is likely never gonna be a single purpose LT desert racer or SAS'd rock crawler. If anything, I see it as a jack-of-all-trades, wanna-be expo rig with a MT suspension at best, and some armor. It's also not my DD; it exists to get me the hell outta dodge and into some solitude.

What I don't know is how much height the RTT mounting rails add between the tent base and the bed rack, so if someone with a Tepui can chime in, I'd appreciate it.

Anyway, apologies for the long-winded post, and thanks for any feedback.

While I don't have a first gen, I do the all-pro rack. I had mine cut to just above the window height so my view isn't obscured. If you're looking at the gear rack, your view will be obstructed by your.... Gear. ;) with that in mind, you should have your rack cut to be height you prefer.

Not sure if your tent with have an annex/overhang/awning, but base your rack height on where you want your ladder to extend and the height of the annex.

I had mine cut to 18" at Tracy's suggestion which brings it to just over rear window height.

Thanks for the input! And you're absolutely right, the gear will obscure most of the rear view anyway.

I'm just at odds with myself over keeping it around 16-18" to keep the CG and wind resistance lower, versus having it at cab height so that I can stand up in the annex. I do have a vestibule, so I can stand up in that part of the annex no problem.

    Decisions, decisions...

Just make it tall so you can stand up. You won't notice the difference between a few inches with wind resistance or cog
