First trip with the tent went great. I had a couple issues with the rain fly in the wind the first night, but I got it sorted out the second night. I also found out I need to make a couple adjustments to the rack and order the additional annex channel and some more window rods. Thanks @Cascadia Tents IMG_20160416_065143605.jpg

I'd look for tears in the cover(not common but mine managed to once), in the tent, check the floor once it's opened to make sure its solid, my buddy got a CVT used and there was a massive dent in the floor. no idea but it didnt effect it structurally. The poles that deploy it as well and maybe the zippers. Just some stuff on the top of my head i can think of

^this... but know, I replaced BOTH BASES, COVER, and hardware (so basically everything but tent, ladder, and polls(inside the tent) for $480 shipped. so depending how good a deal, still might be worth it!

I had to remove my tent from the truck and open it up to dry in my garage. We can't get a break from all this rain here in Houston.

I would consider that but my tent is too big to where part of it would hang over the tailgate and I wouldn't like it like that

and it may not be that big a difference, just habit I guess, always trying to get the weight as far forward as possible to negate as much of a change in handling as possible.

I've just got some 4" tall bed bars... my tool box is a Toyota one, made for the tacoma. 4cyl problems there isn't enough room for the giant dual arb compressor

My tool box lid just clears the side of the tent when I have it on
Old pic but you get the idea

Thanks, yeah 2.7 life here, that's why I got the smaller compressor, its only job is lockers though, I carry co2 for everything else. I may go with some slightly taller bed bars then. Think I've seen 6 or 8 inch bars somewhere
