any problems using the rtt with the bars? feels stable driving and sleeping on them?

 

I stole the idea from @MJonAgs32. For one of the attachment points, I swapped out the bolts with eyebolts and used a lock between the two eyebolts. You can't spin the eye bolts to remove it from the bed bars.

On the other hand, I have mine mounted to 2 tall relentless bed bars. If someone really wanted my tent, they can just unbolt both bed bars and take the whole thing. Regardless, if someone wants to steal it, they can but at least its not as easy as unbolting the tent.

No problems using the @RelentlessFab tall bed bars. I have 2x bed bars with my Tepui Ayer and has worked just fine and no issues.

 

Dude awesome! Thanks for responding to both of my questions! I definitely need to do the lock and eye! I was gunna use security nuts but this looks a little better. Maybe I can figure a way to make the bed bars secure from being stolen but thats like 200lbs almost huh?

what size for the rtt? I don't have mine yet so no clue what the bolts are.

@rob1208 Sorry if I missed it somewhere else, but where would one acquire the rounded RTT mount pictured above in your security solution image?

Its just exhaust clamps you can pick up from your local auto parts store. I think the relentless bars are 1.75" in diameter so I grabbed ones that fit similar to these:

You only need the bottom flat piece with the curved cutout. I still used the included bolts from tepui to screw it to the tent rails (except for the pair I swapped out with eyebolts).

Just painted them black and installed it on all 4 mount locations.

Anybody that runs their tent on a FrontRunner rack know of an easy way to get to the nuts to remove them. It takes me about an hour to take my tent off and on.
