Nope not a joke... you lightly spray the OUTSIDE of the tent... Says so on CVTs website...

The joke I made about removing the matress to spray the inside was the only joking part

I had this issue too when it was in the 20's one night. For me it was a catch-22. Leave it vented and then have my wife complain it was too cold inside, or close it up and have everything be damp. I bet you can guess which route I chose (happy wife = happy life). I just pulled the blankets out to let them dry in the morning. No big deal. Nothing was soaked, just damp.

I did have a lot of condensation on the walls of the tent, but these things dry so fast when you open them up. I just opened all the windows while we cooked breakfast and everything was dry by the time I was done and we were packing up.

Thanks man! Sounds like the same situation! I need to look at a lil heater and I'll soak the out side of the tent later!

Okay I sprayed it with water sadly it's not drying too fast. Can I use a towel and speed it up? Or will that not be okay?

No, let it sit and let the water work itself into the fabric so the threads swell. It will dry on its own.

Nope just let it dry man! Don't wipe it down or anything... Worst case scenario fire up your leaf blower... If its gas just let it idle and let the air it blows out dry it... But you have plenty of sunlight left out there in San Diego... Sunset is at 2016 tonight

Hahaha I just drove 8 hour lol and didn't sleep much last night due to being frozen and wet hahaha it was a pain to put a frosted and frozen tent away with even more cold fingers. Should've seen me, I used my exhaust as warmth in between cleaning. My gf thought I went crazy :bananadead:

You're pretty impatient, aren't you? Lightly spray it, let it sit and dry....simple, end of story!

You could spray some 303 on the cover if you want to make it all shiny, you could hang a shoe holder if you want something to hold your shoes, you could put lights inside the RTT if you don't want to use a headlamp or flashlight, you could put in a condensation mat if you don't want condensation building up inside on the floor....if you don't want to do any of that, take your truck out on some trails or drive into the woods, set the RTT up and sleep inside it.....viola you'll have fun!

Lol but I need to clean my truck!!! :( and I need to go get compound to buff out my pin strips someday soon.

I'm going to Yuma Friday so I'll just hose my tent and give it 15 min to dry under that heat :tumbleweed:

Haha but where's the fun in that! I could've left my truck stock and just used a tarp and some sticks as a tent but we all know how much each one of us likes to spend money on stuff to take up time on the weekend :notsure:
