Plano's product quality is notoriously bad. I've owned a couple of their gun cases and another case similar in size to the action packers... All of them had broken clasps, cracks in the plastic, etc, within a year of normal use.

Got it. I've never had any of their products except for the cases I linked. Only going on 3 months of owning them, but so far so good. Hopefully they don't begin to fail over the next year like you unfortunately experienced.

I use the giant Legos as well. Amazon sells them pretty cheap.

I get it as flat as I can. If it's not perfect I just sleep with my head facing upwards.

Got it... don't get me wrong. I know alot of people are happy with them. Maybe I've just had extra bad luck. I think they seem like fine cases if they arn't going to be thrown around a ton. I considered getting one for my roof rack like many other people around here. Hell, they definitely are stronger than the rotopax storage boxes that I have now. But for the price I've never been happy with the construction and longevity... then again, I beat the hell out of my equipment. So go figure.

I don't even like their supposedly waterproof fishing tackle cases... They filled with water and sank once full in my bathtub

Why were you fishing in your bathtub?

LOTS of wiring, dual battery setup, Solar charging system, with some random lights spread around here and there.

I must ask this as well. There are many parts of my body that do not take particularly well to fish hooks.

Not fishing... Testing the boxes and some new tackle... I fill the bathtub up tie about 6 inches of line to the lure and pull it through the water with my hand to see ophow it swims sinks floats and loverall acts in the water... The boxes I wanted to see if they were actually waterproof... They weren't and all I did was push them down slightly

You don't want a prince albert?
