Some tents do include the annex and its all preference tepui are slightly cheaper before the discount.

No that's a little steep of a discount for them lol they do fine with out it. And yea they do include the annex on some of their tents.

Looks like the CVT Shasta is 40 bucks more expensive than the Tepui equivalent but after the 30% cvt discount it turns out being cheaper.

 

i do agree with ya there though

 

Unless you live near Tepui and can pick up

only visited bobby (CVT) twice in the past 6 months and will again next month.

Oh and I thought of the road trip thing! if it was summer I would. Going to head down to Oregon this summer anyways.

Santa Cruz is only a few hours south of Oregon

 

Once I get my trailer built to completion, and get Lil' Beast expedition ready, I will make a road trip to visit Bobby's store.

 

That's how I got mine. I bought mine during one of the first CVT group buys which is good for people who can't get an RTT locally. But I got my tepui locally from a snug top cheaper than any in the group buys at the time. That's what swayed my decision was which I could get cheaper between the two. Both are a great products IMO.

 

I camp all winter with out the annex. You will be surprised on how fast it heats up in the tent. The first time I did it I put my zero bag on top of my summer bags to sleep In. A few hours in I was in my summer bag sleeping. I think the low the first night was like 15 so it was not that "cold" when you think of winter camping. I've had other nights where I have needed to stay in my zero bag but I didn't have a temp monitor to tell you how cold it was that night.
