You guys that have RTTs without the vestibule...did you wish you had one after purchase?

Also, is the annex more trouble than it's worth...even if it's included with the tent?

I'm torn between a smaller RTT without the vestibule and annex or the next size up that has both a vestibule and annex included, but obviously a bit more expensive.

I have an annex, but without the overhang on the tent I never even use it.

Do you wish you had the overhang? And if you did, do you think you'd use the annex then?

I'm torn between getting in on it or picking up an HEO tent used off of a local. I just don't know anyone with a geo tent to ask about quality, etc..

I imagine it's the same quality as most of the other brands that popped up throwing labels on Chinese manufactured tents...but I hear you. There's one guy in that thread that chimed in asking about quality and that he's local to their warehouse. Maybe he'll pop by and check them out for everybody.

If you plan on getting an awning, make sure you get the tall mounting brackets otherwise you'll be sitting too low and floor of the tent will hit the top of the awning.

Thinking about one of those GEO tents myself... The company is owned by the guys that met up with the Expedition Overland crew in Costa Rica. From what I've been able to find, the tent materials are mostly comparable to others you find (Tepui, CVT, Smittybilt, etc.)

But my question is also for the guys with annexes... Do any of you have your RTT mounted low on your truck bed but still use the annex? Clearly it's not high enough and is going to bunch up at the bottom. Is this a problem? Since it'll be too low to stand under the tent, I'm mostly considering it as a place to stick a port-a-pot or maybe a sleeping area for my son. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with a similar setup or would like to share their thoughts
