Ok, so I know this has been brought up earlier in this thread. Yes, I have a short bed double cab Relentless Fab High Bed Bars, and an XL Smittybilt RTT which measures around 6'3. (Thanks AKsig88 for the help). It does bend slightly if I were to pull down on it, but we sleep with our heads towards the front of the truck and have been fine. I was worried what it would look like, and so far I love it and dont mind it sticking off the back that much. I calculated everything perfectly so it fits into the garage height wise and depth. Love it!

I have the same tent @Topgun15v and love it, i like your idea of putting your feet at the overhang because that is a LOT of tent with unsupported surface area. My bed rack now comes all the way to the back of the tail gate so not much is unsupported. I had bed bars on and didn't like how much of the tent was unsupported with the bed bar mounted as far back as possible it was still like 30%

Now its closer to only 15% unsupported

    bed bars

new bed rack thanks goes to @3378jakesr5 for building out this sick design

Saw that on Instagram.. Interesting rack. The wings over the bed rails, just for support or a step?

Sick rack bro. Love the slider protection on the sides! I was looking to cut weight, but if I didn't care about weight I would def have to buy some of those bad boys!

This, and if they do hit a rock/tree they are only bolted to the plastic bed.. can't imagine that can take much force

they do stick just far enough out to push a tree away, id probably still take some damage as they are very very close to same width as the fender but i wanted to design the rack with these in mind for a step with the added bonus of protection. Were probably going to put in filler plate at some point too

the big ass torx bolts that connect the bed to the frame is what the rack connects to i doubt its going to break the bed if i do slip into something

Looks like they are bolted through the bed to the frame.
