I have the Ayer and I'm 6ft 185lbs and it works fine. 2 people are comfortablely 3 super cramped, 1 person is like sleeping on a king mattress.

Not sure of the dimentions of the tent your looking at but I have a cvt mt Shasta so you can compare. I'm 6'3" 200 and my buddy is every bit of 6'5" and a little heavier than me and we both stayed in my tent from Philadelphia to Moab and back and never had an issue.

Ok so. Lemme get this straight, you and your buddy slept in your RTT and you found out he's every bit of 6'5"?

Thanks for the help guys! I'm so stoked to get such a cool piece of kit and join the club! I just don't know how I'm going to explain a nearly $1k tent to my friends who literally just throw their sleeping pad on the ground and sleep without a tent. (They called me prissy for thinking we'd be sleeping in tents during our 9 day Utah trip.) But hey, I'll be the one laughing when anything goes less than absolutely perfect.

Also when it rains you'll be like, glad I have a RTT. Plus when you set up late, and you're nice and warm by the fire and they're still setting up. It'll be worth it

    Trucks are dumb.

Newbie to the RTT world so looking for input on my current setup for storing my Tepui.

The heavy duty dolly makes it really easy to move around and the strap is just slightly taunt, although it's pretty damned stable w/o it. Does this setup seem legit or???

I use the same kind of dolly for mine. I haven't needed the strap, but it's a good idea. I would just loosen it a little when you're not actually wheeling the thing around.

Has anyone here either personally, through a third party or seen/heard on the webz of a RTT laden vehicle in an off camber situation flopping over due to most likely the tent being the cause?

Nothing specifically, but logically, the more weight you have above the roofline of the vehicle, the more top heavy and easier to roll it will be. However, if you mount yours over the bed with a low profile rack, it may actually help your vehicle off road by putting a little more weight over the rear wheels. Just depends on where you're planning on mounting it.
