@Cascadia Tents is there any way to get a "stargazer" after the fact of my tent being made and in my possesion? I kick my self for not getting it... like taking it to a upholstry/boat cover shop and having them do it? Obviously I would not be asking you to pay for it as I cheaped out because I didn't want to wait longer :(

Makes me even happier with my @Cascadia Tents purchase. Can't wait for it to arrive on Monday. In the meantime, these showed up today.

    Not enough...

I have the same tent (Mt. Shasta Extended) that I purchased used from a member here. My annex is having the same issue. Since I bought it used, I can't really blame anyone, so I am just going to take it to an upholstery shop and have it patched/stitched up with sunbrella material. Overall, I am very happy with this tent, it served me well and considering the fact that I have bought it used for half price, i can't really complain, but the whole system of attaching the tent to the base is rather weak, comes out of the channels, gets snagged, fabric gets frayed, etc. My biggest problem with this tent, and this is in no way CVT's fault, I can not drive the truck into my garage with the tent attached.

I saw Mt. Thielsen on @DefconBrix's truck, and it seemed to fulfill me needs, and have low enough profile to be permanently attached to my truck, but it looks like it did not get enough interest and @Cascadia Tents scraped it. The word is, they are going to release a hard shell tent sometime next year.

It was kind of a bitch, but i managed to get 3 humans, 2 60lb dogs and a 3lb dog in there with no issues. And considering that it sits on top of the topper that i drilled myself, I am impressed. It holds up well. I did purchase 2nd mattress pad, which, unfortunately, does not allow me to fold the tent, so I have to transport it separately, and he add-on that allows me to have the cover and the annex attached at the same time, which i haven' tested yet.

Those are pretty sweet. Wondering if it will keep the RTT below the roofline or not?

Future RTT owner here. Need some advice here, I'm getting a bed rack for my rtt and wanted to know how you guys secured your load from sticky fingers while carrying camp gear and what not when traveling, also how some people are protecting their things from the elements. I live in the beautiful PNW and it rains a lot, I've seen custom canvases made and what not wondering if that's my only option.

I'm a PNWer as well and have found that having a shell or other cover to be absolutely necessary. I have the Bestop and a swingout tire carrier that I lock to the bumper which blocks the tail gate from coming down and opening the back of the topper. The size of the tire makes it impossible to lift my camp box or anything of size out of the bed. If I'm going to be away from the truck for a while, in addition to locking access to the tailgate, I run a chain through my box, cooler, bikes and lock them to the bed. I'm under no illusions that a highly motivated thief couldn't penetrate that defense, but it's quite effective at warding off crimes of opportunity.

I recently got an upgraded mattress for my Tepui and won't need the one it came with. Any suggestions on what to do with it? Maybe sell? Seems to be a waste to just throw away since it's brand spanking new...

Hard to say. By my estimation it'll either be level or just above the roofline. The tent will be here Monday, so I'll know for sure next week. CBI Offroad makes an awesome product though. These things are really well made.

Thank you sir! By the way, after seeing the SDHQ hidden winch and dual light mount on your truck I am totally copying you. Looks great! Cheers.

LOL, copy away my friend, and thank you for the compliment. SDHQ is another great vendor making absolutely stellar products. Couldn't be happy with how everything is coming together.

I am running short on time, otherwise I'd do a little more leg work for you. There was a lot of talk about this maybe a month ago in this thread? Cascadia Tents (CVT) has security nuts that you can purchase. Other vendors may also, but I am not positive. Other people have changed mounting hardware and added pad locks. Found some! Start here. That may or may not be the beginning. I searched for "exhaust hanger".

Edit: I just realized you are referring to things inside the bed. Disregard!

With the bed rack I have, when the tailgate is locked there is only an 8" gap between the tailgate and the rack which means anything I have in my lockable, weather-proof rubbermaid action packers has no way of leaving me (at least, without a significant amount of disassembling/damage). If I'm leaving the truck for a while I try to stuff everything into the cab.

Looking into this myself. I found some eye nuts would do the trick with a regular lock to secure them. Problem is the bolts that came with my setup are mm so I'll have to change to standard but I prefer that anyways. Security nuts are hard to find (which might be a good thing for thieves) but found them to be pricey.
