    I wasn't aware cvt sold those security bolts, good to know! I did read up on that exhaust hanger method and that's the route I planned on taking.

    Locking tail gate is a good idea too! The bed rack I'm getting is low and comes with the rotopac mounts and what not making it difficult to retrieve anything in big containers

    Good morning!
    Where are you located? You can take it to them it might cost you $400-800 bucks. It is not cheap. Which tent do you have? We might be able to do a trade in plus and that will get you what you want. You can call me today at 541-419-2790.

    So im selling my 2X4 DCLB to get a 4X4 DC (not sure what I'll be able to find bed wise) currently I am able to sleep out of the shell in my longbed with a twin mattress, if I ended up getting a short bed I don't know if I would be able too and I would probably end up getting an RTT. I'm new to RTTs so I'm asking for some guidance I will need it to
    -hold 2 people
    -must sit flush or underneath the cab when folded up
    - I saw a rack awhile back that let's you hold jerry cans and a shovel and all other kinds of stuff on the side, not sure if all Noone knows the name
    -don't want to spend over 2,000 on a tent rack combo (flexible)

    These look good, but wont work with my Retrax as the rail of the cover pretty much covers the rail. Theres only like a half inch gap in between. How do those CBI towers mount?

    Mobtownoffroad also makes a good set of bed bars that'll work with most bed covers. The price is pretty reasonable too. IMG_0581.jpg

    Haven't seen those. Are those on their site? I've also been talking to chad from kbvoodoo. His bar may work with mine but afraid that the rigid side rail will cause a huge gap when sitting on the tower. Still got lots of research to do. Appreciate everyone's help. The more the merrier.

    How hard is it to take an RTT off a roof rack? I want a gen 2 TRD OR which means I'll be forced into a DCSB (need DC) and that means I won't be able to sleep in the bed with a shell anymore because let's be real, its a 5' bed. So for camping I would run an RTT, i dont like the look of them folded up and the only way I could have one that sits above the cab would be if I could take it off when I just want to drive around and put it back on the rack when I plan on going out on multi-day trips. Would taking the RTT on and off the roof rack be a viable option or once it's on the roof it's pretty much on there for good

    Just make sure you have the right second person. I usually wind up with my wife helping me do it which can be comical and frustrating at the same time. A 5' 100lb girl isn't the best choice to put a 150lb tent on top of a lifted truck.

    Alright that solves alot of my problems, the roof racks im seeing with gear on the side and gas cans are just regular bedrack with rotopax mounters on it?

    @Box Rocket

    I'd like to get a third rail to better distribute the weight from my big ass when I'm in the tent. Do you know if it comes with the associated hardware? It would be nice to have everything I need in the package, but I'm most concerned about the sliding nuts for the new rail. It's for a GS Ruggedized. Let me know...

    Thanks!
