Unfortunately, items you buy with the coupon do not count towards your dividend. Still an awesome price though!

Had a case of the weekday crazies set in Wednesday and took the rest of the week off. In the downtime, did a little thinking about my camping game.....

Got tired of climbing in and out of the tent to store/retrieve the outside hoop, so.....

Anyone tried this before? Closed up fine, will see what I find when I open it back up next.

Also, WTF (what's this for)? There's one of these straps on each side of the hoop furthest from the door. Tying your partner up has already been suggested :D

Is that the support bar for the annex you're taking about? That's where I keep mine. That's how it shipped so that's where it goes.

I believe the intent of the straps is to keep bedding in place when you fold the tent away. Honestly, I have no idea...

Haha that is what I used them for too. They don't seem like they are made for that though.

Yes, support bar for the annex. Don't think mine was there when I got it, but maybe. Was quite a pain to figure out some of the lack of instruction so I may have forgotten where it was actually.

I'll have to check out if the straps work for holding the bedding in place, we usually fold that over before folding the tent up.

So went out camping this weekend and this happened to my summit series mt shasta. Bobby is already on it and hopfully will send out a new cross bar tomorrow morning! Somehow the bolt that holds the cross bar was so tight it wouldn't let it move freely and it bent right at the weakest part of the pole where the box for the light switch and the usb plugs are

The tent itself needs to be slid out of the channel its in and put in the right channel. Its like the channel the cover slides into or the zipper for the cover...

Joe best bet is probably going to be to fold the tent in half and work with it that way...

Those two straps primary purpose is to serve as hand holds to help some get in the tent. But your creative answers are refreshing :bananadance:

Tent bros. I'm looking for ladder opinions. I have the plain-jane CVT ladder, and I'm not crazy about it. At times I would even say it sucks.

How much better are the telescoping ladders? Pros / cons? Is the CVT one and Tepui one the same? Are there other ladders available?

    Thanks.

Tepui ladder is not the same as the CVT one.

The pins were freezing up on me a lot during winter camping. It doesn't deal with uneven terrain very well. And now I just changed my bedrack, so I need to redrill a new set of holes, meaning I'll have a pair of holes that just get in the way.

What kind of issues have you had with the telescopic one? I own one and hoping to avoid issues if I can. Thanks.

originally, wanted a bigger tent. went from a Tepui Ayer to a CVT Mt Shasta...

my original impressions having seen many CVT's and Tepui's in person is that the CVT seemed to feel like it was better, and I liked their ladders a lot more. once I bought the CVT I started noticing a lot of differences in small things, such as the rails on my Mt Shasta were a lot stronger, where as my Tepui one sometimes would get warped or have kinks when removing the sliding mounts
I would agree with that statement!
the rubber feet kept falling off (constantly) and I would have to strap part of the tent down with a ratchet strap so the ladder wouldn't move on me when I was walking up or down on it primarily
