If you're going to Overland Expo this weekend be sure to check out the Tepui White Lightning Hardshell tent. Pretty awesome IMO.

    Keep forgetting to ask....

How do you guys deal with all the fabric sticking out on all sides when you fold the RTT? Is there some sort of technique I am missing? Because it's everywhere, and I have to spend 5 minutes shoving it in. I always hook up 4 bungee cords inside the tent zip up all windows and carefully button up everything else, but still havent found a proper way to close the tent without dealing with this shit

Lift and stuff... lift and stuff. If you close it real slow, it doesnt puff out as much in my experience.

There are 4 bungees inside the tent that hook up to little plastic rings on left and right walls of the tent, presumably to pull the fabric in when you fold the tent

Mine has a pair of cords that I run in an X, top to bottom, bottom to top. Puts a little more pull in the system...

Lifting each hoop and stuffing like mad is the best you can do.

When I remember to bring a shorty step ladder, it sure helps.

Keep the windows open somewhat so that the air inside the tent can escape while you close it down. Having a 2nd set of hands really helps too...

Thanks for the recommendations on the sleeping bags, I have been eyeing the Big Agnus Dream Island too but think it might be a bit too big for the Kukenam but I know it fits the Autana since that tent is bigger.

I didn't know about the Teton and just checked it out and for price point and size fit seems like the one I will be getting. Excited to get all this going. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting on my crossbars from Relentless Fabrications to get here.

I'm currently vacaying Tecate, Mexico and definitely want to come back with my RTT to Baja and catch some surf. Anyone been down to Baja's Beaches? Rosarito sounds like the spot to go but I'm hesitant due to rumors of the issues with safety with foreigners. Anyone who's done this before? Would love pointers on where to go and tips on how to plan a trip here. Mexico is a gorgeous place and I love it here in Tecate.

These are not included with the CVT summit series fyi... i spoke to CVT about it. They said the fabric was heavier and causing that point to fail.
