Wow that's actually not a bad idea.. I've been in some areas with high grass and it would have been nice to wack it all down for a better base camp.

I think his mindset with that trailer and load-out was less expedition but more bug-out. I judge this based on the amount of fuel he has...nowhere in the United States will you ever be that far away from fuel (unless there isn't any available).

    As for the weed-wacker...

Some is oil. When will you need a light bar on the side of your roof rack?

For those that have built racks to put their tents on trailers, what size tubing did you use? Just picked up a utility trailer and want to have a rack put on it. A coworker was a welder for about 10yrs and will do it for me. I was thinking 2in for uprights and 1in for the "rack" portion would be good. Thoughts?

So is CaliRaised adding a RTT into the mix? Or is it a roof rack/something else I missed? Screenshot_20170605-113833.jpg

Thinking of this for fishing rod carriage on an upcoming trip. Broken straps are the only thing I can think will make this an expensive mistake. Any other opinions?

Hey everyone, plan on heading up to Alabama Hills next week to break in the new RTT and wanted to know from folks who have been there for suggestion on maybe shaded campsites? I know it's all rocks so I wanted to know if anyone knew of a spot that has some shield from the sun. Thanks!

Guy doing it for me thinks his dad has 2" already, and if not he can order whatever through his dads shop. Sounds like 2" won't be overkill if do the whole thing with that.
    Thanks again.

do you have a long bed?? or short? casue even at 90" closed your gonna stick out bad unless you have a roof rack and the bed rack same height. I thought about buying that too as well but I have a short bed and apex rack up to the window trim so just 4 inch shy from the roof and if I buy it it will stick out on the ass end alot

FWIW, I use 1.75" because it matched my bumpers. my sliders are 1.5", but I'm going to re-do them and they will be 1.75"....
