If you're going to be heading out with kids it's a game changer. The only time I use it is when the whole family is with me other then that it's to much work...

That's all I've done in the ~6 days I've slept in it. I have the vestibule and it's nice to give ya a dry spot if it's raining or dews over night. Also good for keeping shoes in the bag outside. Have yet to use the annex on it though

I want an annex, but right now, its usually just me camping.. no gf, no dog. The gf part might change soon though haha

    Stuff. Also things.
I would strongly suggest that you go for a tent with the vestibule. Super nice when it's raining, and it only adds a couple minutes to the setup and takedown times. Not having your door exposed to the elements is really cool.

As for the annex, I'd say that is totally optional, and very dependent on your camping style as well as whom you camp with. I haven't used mine yet, but I've heard they're a PITA to put up and tear down.

I agree on the annex being a lot of trouble. I'm just saying I wish I had the vestibule (overhang for the ladder). I do wish I had the annex now because the tent is on a trailer instead of the truck so I can leave it setup if I'm someplace for more than one night.

I'll eventually switch to a different RTT that has the vestibule and annex when the right deal comes along. I did buy an awning to hang over the rear of the truck to be able to shelter the tailgate area and entry side of the RTT when camp is setup.

Also in winter it'll help bring heat in
Can leave propane heater on ground instead of in tent

Grabbed it from Dicks Sporting Goods, it's a Field & Stream. Sadly, I can't recommend it, it has bad reviews, and is impossible to fold up.

I ended up just laying it flat in the back of the short bed. Fits fine that way and deploys a lot quicker. It needs to be staked/tied off, not freestanding due to the rounded bottoms.

At almost 50 I can give a shit about being shunned. I prefer it most of the time anyways...lol.
My wife did get the warranty. Pretty much all the info she dropped on me. She was mad she didn't get to surprise me with it but she needed me and my truck to pick it up. It's a long story but this tent is on nationwide backorder but someone at 4wdparts did us a favor as long as we picked it up today. To put it this way...someone who probably got free shipping may be waiting longer for their tent. Lol!

Y'all have convinced me I need a RTT! I'm looking for info on a bed rack and how the tent mounts to it. Where can I find a good affordable bed rack and what else would I need to install the tent to it?

Does your tent raise up on the trailer? Seems like it'd be way too low for an annex attached

An RTT comes with all that's needed to mount it.

SOS Concepts is a vendor here on TW with a few bedrack options. I couldn't recommend them higher...
