Not a concern yet, but also haven't done a ton of cooking with this setup yet. Since I don't have an annex, the wind (if there is wind) moves things out pretty quick.

I'm 6'1" and the truck has an OME kit with a Dakar leaf pack and sits on 285/70R17's. The rack sits just above the rear window height. I have to tilt my head a bit, but can cook a meal comfortably.

I finally got a tent rack built for my trailer and got everything finished. I also swapped out the plastic buckles on the tent with cam buckles. They are a lot better for getting the tent closed up with the sleeping bag.

If you want to see mine in person, my Tepui Kukenam Ruggidized is always on my truck. I think the only other RTT's in our local group is the smittybilt, i'm not sure if anyone else has a different one. Let me know and you can check it out anytime.

I meant to ask about it at the lake, but got busy cooking.

    Amazon rocks. First impressions:

    1) The fan blows pretty well and the light is super bright. Carabiner hanging is pretty sweet. Well worth $20

    2) The rechargeable battery pack, not to great. Ran for about 6 hours on my kitchen counter. Takes forever to recharge. Probably not worth the $20. I probably should have planned on just buying a bunch of rechargeable D cells or improvising a power supply. May send it back or improvise a solar charging system for it. 6 hours run time is enough for me to sleep.

Paracord down to the hood hinge has been my go-to. It sucks not having a roof rack.

My quick solution is paracord tied to inexpensive carabiners from the window flap to my driver seat headrest. I route the cord around the pillar with the door open and then to the rail on the headrest. The door and weather seal isn't bothered at all.

they recently released a new design within the last few weeks because they got sued over the ones they used to sell. Been waiting on the new ones to come out because I want a place for shoes after climbing the ladder. They are so new I'm not sure anyone has used them yet.

I've been looking at them off an on. Right now I use a milk crake tied under the ladder to hold shoes. It works but is kind of a pain to access from the tent.

yeah the ones on the site are the new design. They havent been on the site for atleast 2 months.
I dont know who sued them but when I asked them about them at Overland Expo they told me they had to take them down due to being sued. They were sued do to how they attached to the tent being the very similar to another company's design. I can probably guess who sued them based off design but since I dont have any facts I'll keep my thoughts to myself. I actually cant tell a difference in the new single bag but the way the double show bag attaches is different. I may order 2 single shoe bags very soon. My first few outings in the tent showed me I need a place to put my shoes after climbing the ladder.

edit: looks like the outside mesh pocket is new. Probably some other small changes.

Yeah a shoe bag would be nice, so far we have just worn flip flops to bed and left them on the ground but climbing the ladder barefoot isn't exactly fun.
