this is why I went to a lower profile tent.. but I realized that the tent + the cap roof rack is now only 1" shorter than the other tent. But it would have been the tent + the roof rack, so I save 6" of height..

Speaking of which, the tent is at my local FedEx.. not sure what their plan is now. If they are bringing to my house, or if I have to go get it on friday

I made the DIY rack for my shell that @ERMB came up with. Any ideas on a sort of quick mounting option so that I can use my lift to get it on/off? Im having a problem getting my hand in between the shell and rack to attach the rtt.

Originally not Expo AF! Kinda Expo AF now...lame.
Joined the club today with a YAAO brand (ebay special) knock off of what I suspect is a CVT. It's got a telescoping ladder (not the two piece, the multiplte locking pieces), and an aluminum bottom and crossbars. The cover isn't a zipper, however, it's velcro, so we'll see how that works out. Once I get a chance to use it I'll make a short video in case others want to see. I paid $896 w/ free shipping and no tax, so it's certainly a budget tent with quality parts.

    Not enough...
Spoke to CVT guys today about the hard shell. They are making a few production changes and will be sending me a new tent from the next run.

They changed the latches, bolts that attach the rails to the bottom of the tent, moved the door further back and added a panoramic window that goes half way around. Asked for more feed back as i come across any other issues.

Definition of CVT FAMILY....the reason why I chose them over the others. Looking forward to the report on v2.

I was texting Casey from FSR about specific details about the M49 tent. Then he responded at 9pm his time. Way past their opening hours. And shipping got me me on the opposite coast in 6 business days. Im impressed with FSR. They even gave me a discount for being a return customer.

Im not saying CVT is not good, but ive had great experience with FSR

I believe one of the guys in our All Pro group buy had a Bestop and the OTT Pack Rack fit it just like it would a Softopper. I'd call up All Pro and see what they can do for you.

Stumbled across this gem this morning while getting my PT on at a British Artillery Base in the U.K.

Has what looks like vintage CA plates but it's a right hand drive.

What model Snugtop is that? I'm looking at putting a tent on a shell instead of a bed rack, but everything I read says a 3 plus person tent on a shell is to much weight?

What's the footprint some of your guys rigs take up. My setup is 20' wide when full setup.

mine is the same footprint as the truck. I have the annex, its big, but ive never set it up -- probably adds another 10' in width with the rig when set up
