Hey guys, what exhaust clamps did yall use?

 

I just went to autozone and bought the size that fit my bars, they have a bunch of sizes usually.

 

why does it look like there are no threads coming out of the nylock nuts?

The screw doesn't look anywhere close to the nylock.

 

They are too short. I'm getting him longer hardware tomorrow. Pics are just him test fitting the clamps....Pretty sure he is not driving around like that.

 

I had kydex sleeves between my RTT and bed bars and the slippery kydex caused the tent to move off road. Make sure you have it all really tight and watch for movement when you hit the trail.

From the same manufacturer that makes the cvt... Without the label. Exact same materials and construction... The additions and parts are interchangeable

What kind of camper shell is that? Any issues with RTT weight? Im looking at the ARE HD caps but im still up in the air.

 

That tent for starters has plastic hinges, poles that are lower grade materials than cvt, and no warranty...so how is it "exactly" the same?

Looks fine to me. I'm not sure why you care I do. Not all of us have the available funds to get a 2k tent, but still want to have the luxury of overlanding experience and to be off the ground.

I'm a military nurse with student loans man, I'm not making bank, just trying to be able to get away for a weekend or two easily and I'm over setting up ground tents and tearing them down... Wasted time that could be used exploring.

 

I just like facts my man. I am not the guy writing your checks or doling out your hard earned cash. Point was its not exact and its a false advertisement

 

I just love guys that put a figure on things like every reputable manufacturer is 2k when its actually not.

Edit: I agree though fun and all that stuff is what you make it and not what you spend.

 

Why not buy a smitty built. They have been having great reviews in the rtt the put out. I have the XL and it is pretty sturdy. Multiple friends with the standard size.

 

BTW are you still in the state of Florida or are you buggin out of there before the storm? I just watched fox news this AM on the price gouging... thats insane!
