Lol... CVT didn't k ow as I have been slammed opening the new store in Chattanooga and with shows. I wrote on there last night. This is not the same tent. Have we used Sunday campers before? Yes. We stopped using them as we had real issues. As a matter of fact that's where geo has their tents made. Wonder if they had issues with their telescoping ladders etc yet.
Every company will say they make cvt or tepui because we are the biggest. I have had companies send photos to me of my tents saying they make them. Lol. They didn't know I was cvt? Lol
There are quite a few things different. Box rocket stated a few and I have. There is a reason I use these tents all the time. All the upgrades are because what I have found or customers and we change them.
Actually Sunday campers. Ame upbto us at expo.. lol. Telling me how they make tepui and yakima. One thing is for sure they were making yakima. And... yes you guessed it they have a recall on all those hundreds of tents. :gossip: I don't mind if folks want to do a go with tents but not using our name would be great. I have spent years making these better products and it's made the whole industry better because if it.
I am flattered they want to compare but it's not apples to apples.

    Guessing it was a summit?
We have seen this happen because the ladder is not properly set and stress gets pulled on the tent and with the cutout for the led it snaps. We are changing that right now also. Worse thing is it cost more to ship. It's like over a $100. New design is coming.

Ah well, for a total cost including shipping it's 570. It's in my price range as I can't put up 2k for a tent right now.... I'd like the be able to afford to use the dang thing.

Well see how it goes. Worst that happens is I'm out and everyone can say I told you so, best that happens is I get a few years of use out of it untill I can afford a expo trailer.

It doesn't hurt anything. It is affordable. I dont blame folks for wanting to. That's a great price. I just know I pay $200 for my smallest tents annex.
Please don't miss understand me. It's a great deal but it's not our tent.

In the beginning our tents were cheaper. This was before all the add ons and upgrades. That is a price we paid 6 years ago.
There is the shipping and taxes also. You can make money selling out if your garage like this we just have two places and 15 employees now.

I wish I woulda just ponied up the extra grand an got the tent I wanted an not the geo, I mean it works just has issues. Like the ladder. Takes 10 min of playing with it to get it, unless your my wife she's got the magic touch an can get it in a min

Smitty built is a great tent not taking away from it at all! I just found a good deal on the tepui is one reason why i switched. The only thing i didnt like about the smitty is the cover only being velcro and not having a zipper caused the cover to balloon with air when at highway speeds. Also i prefer the telescoping ladder on the tepui then the sliding on the smitty. Its eaiser to set at the correct height depending where u have the tent mounted and the terrian your on. Cant go wrong wither way. Never had a problem out of the smitty besides the cover ballooning with air and the corners started to rip where it sits on the aluminum structure of the tent base.

Multiple thumbs up! Thanks for your reply I thought I was going crazy over here with people throwing your name around saying they are "exactly" the same. It was laughable. Awesome product definitely the guys everyone is chasing for market share in my opinion.

Yes I know that I just don't know why your implying they are the same regardless of the mention of using the same factory years ago.. of it were two years ago and we are talking I'd keep my mouth shut... I'm not trying to offend you by any means it's just not apples to apples product wise is what he's stressing
