Nice! That’s a popular spot, for sure, but you can see why.

Don’t get paranoid about the hardware. I never had mine come loose with the flat bars or the exhaust clamps. The light tabs are equal parts improved ruggedness, decreased parts count, and way more usable space under my bed rack.

By the way, I’m looking forward to maybe jumping up to a hardshell in a few years once I get my moneys worth out of my Tepui and the hardshell market settles down a bit. Nice to see them become more suitable for regular joes like me.

Definitely! I love my Tepui for now, but man, closing it every morning on a touring trip sucks balls. That said, the sleep I get the night before makes it worthwhile for the time being!

A few audio upgrades, tinted windows, remote start because it f'n hot in Texas! 6in Fabtech DB lift, 17x9 Fuel Trophy wheels, 315/70/17 Duratracs,BAMF 80in sliders w/kickout, Prinsu cab rack w/30in Heretic light bar, custom bedside decals, custom hi-lift jack brackets, US Offroad front bumper w/winch, bed rack with RTT, CB, Short wave base station, Ultra gauge, color matched grille surround, an ungodly amount of recover gear, ARB fridge, hood struts, RotoPax, traction pads.
Congrats for the sale! Unfortunately it wasn't me that bought it :pout:
I understand the issue for someone that only uses their soft RTT on their truck. For me I have a trailer and when I get to camp, I setup and then leave. No worries about packing it up every morning just to go wheeling. It makes a HUGE difference.

But for those that are wanting a STEAL on a hardshell, CVT has theirs on sale right now.

For all others, there is a GB going on right now... Click here

Anyone know “light” or not crazy technical roads for some BLM camping two hours out of LA?

Looking for some new possible areas to get my rig dirty next weekend!

I need to have the zipper on my Geo GT-140 replaced and I was quoted $150 from a local upholstery guy for a replacement zipper and labor. Does that sound like a decent price? I honestly have no idea. :notsure:

    For the outer cover?

When the zipper failed on my CVT, I was able to replace the entire cover (with new zipper) for less than that. Paid $125 I think.

Dang, Yeah it's the zipper for the outer cover. I'll have to shop around some and see if I can get a better price.

Hey all... I tried doing a search but there is just so much info with options and opinions..

I am wanting to know, what is your rear suspension setup?? I was thinking the expo leafs, but what shocks work well? I would like to have decent ride quality unloaded and butter loaded or offroading.

Thank you for your time in advance!

I have Deaver's Expedition II (U402-II) rear springs and Bilstein 5160s. Sourced both through @HeadStrong Off-Road . Was warned away from the Expo leafs by someone who sells them and pushed to Deaver even though the knew they'd miss the sale.

What where you warned about? Have others had issues with them that you know about?

    Thanks i appreciate your input

I killed a set of factory springs with OME add-a-leafs with the constant weight I run. I was going to replace with the Expo springs but was told it was only a matter of time before those would give way too and that the Deaver Expedition II or IIIs would be better suited to carry my rear without collapsing.

Why are you having to replace the base? Did they warranty the replacement?

it was damaged by a tree falling on it. Is not a warranty issue.
