I spoke with a SB rep and he told me that SB is planning on releasing the annex with a floor here late this month, roughly same price point as the current floor-less annex.

I have had this issue before. Instead of trying to repair the zipper, I installed velcro which in my opinion worked much better.

After a very long wait and a lot of jonesing for a roof top tent I can finally join the club. Smittybuilt overlander on a KB Voodoo mid height long bed rack. I like the look of the long bed rack on the short bed trucks. I took it out for the first time last weekend and I am thoroughly impressed by how easy and comfortable it is. Out of the box there were no parts missing, everything was packed nicely and it seems like a quality piece of kit. There were some small metal shavings inside the tent and the drilled holes for the window poles aren't the cleanest but that's being kinda pickey because it works fine. 10 minutes one of these weekends with a chamferring tool will clean all that up. The wife is sold. She complained about the cost until we slept in it and now she keeps bragging to her friends about it. I've learned a lot about these things from this thread and others and I can finally give my opinion: roof top tents are awesome.

Has anyone used the Tepui Premium mattress? If so is it worth it?

I bought mine with it and have no complaints. I didn't use the standard one so I can't give a comparison.

Inexpensive lights that work well, used double sided velcro tape to stick onto the bottom of the RTT..

Just a couple neat pics I wanted to add to thread. Love how even without using the tent, it just makes the truck look badass.

Sorry, maybe I missed something. Did you reinforce the shell inside by some frame or so?

I didn't, but previous owner forum member Wildpeak did when he bought this ARE Overlander shell. He also had a tent on it and went everywhere with it.

I just ordered Smittybilt XL and have no shell nor bed rack. Still looking for a good variant of strong shell or regular shell with custom reinforcement. The idea is to make 4 legs inside in the corners(use already installed bed stiffeners in the rear and make long legs in the front and mount it to the bed mount points). Make frame on top of legs and mount roof rails through the roof to the frame by using rubber cushions on the bolts.

That's an option or you could always buy a shell that's stronger. I was fortunate to find one used but there are a few makers out there that can reinforce the shells for you. But I do also like the rack systems they have out there too. I just wanted to be able to lock up my gear in the camper. I'm running the smittybilt XL too with annex.

These things are awesome. Harbor Freight is carrying them, and they are often one of the free items you can get.
