Love that idea! You could always set up some string and pulleys that all run into the cab for convenient on/off control...

Do we still have a rep for Geo Adventure Gear here? I'm not having much success communicating with them over email.

Recently picked up a CVT Mt Rainier Summit. I'm sure I'm missing something simple but could anyone that owns a summit series help me to understand where the hook up is to run power to the LED light and usb ports? It was indicated that the tent comes with a cigarette lighter type power cord but I've not seen it or clearly identified where on the interior pole one would plug into....

Zipper on the cover busted. I mean it still "works" but it's nearly impossible to get started. After a week they responded to my first email to get my number to call. So I sent that and haven't heard back. I prefer to have a paper trail but it looks like I'll have to call.

@Daria zipper broke on her GT140 a while back relatively quickly after getting it. Don’t remember if/how she got it taken care of.

@ChamYota broke my zipper pull. :spy:
Geoadventure Gear dropped the ball. Never got resolution. CVT saw my post and they hooked me up with a new piece. Shout out for some awesome customer service.

So glad my new tent is CVT. :gossip:

My current RTT is a CVT that I’m very happy with after my first one being a GEO (no issues with it either though). @rogs6266 Tepui is really nice...and it being the XL has so much more room for activities.

@Daria disowned us SC folks after moving west. :jerkoff:

If you’re dragging that behemoth down with you, we may have to put in down here if you’ve got time. Would be hard to take time away from the Keys though.

Thanks. Maybe I'll just look into that. Doesn't sound like their customer service is up to snuff. Zipper itself is fine. It's only that metal tab at the start that pulled off which makes it really hard to start. I blame it on bad design that encourages excessive wear at that point.

Nevermind the separating tent seams and broken plastic corners of the base... Love the unique size of the GT-165 but the quality just doesn't seem to be there.

Built a new rack today for a low pro over the bed style rtt rack. I utilized the same mounting points from the over the softopper rack I built. More of a universal type setup. Pretty happy with the way it turned out and waiting to paint for now.

First night in the new RTT Saturday night. Got down to 32 or so at night but we stayed fairly warm

There is a port with a small flap on the backside of the pole from the light switch and USB ports. There should be a cord (about 6' long) that has a cig lighter plug and a 90 degree barrel plug. Feeds up under the flap of the tent and plugs into the backside of the pole.

Thanks Ryan, appreciate the assist. I'll do some closer investigating to locate it.
