Aren't you the same guy I met that had a pet squirrel that stood on his head? Just figured the squirrel would do the common decent thing and preheat the sleeping bag.

anyone put awnings on the factory roof rack? I don't have anything right now except an awning... trying to decide what route to go that isn't going to break the bank.

 

Where do you put your shoes when you get into your RTT? I'm thinking of maybe just having a plastic bag to sit them in/on.

 

I had that same question, but have noticed in a lot of photos a net bag hanging by the top of the ladder. Seems to be the popular choice - to leave the shoes outside the door. Not sure how well that will work for 3 people, but expect I'll find out in a couple of months.

 

My CVT came with 2 shoe bags that hang on either side of the ladder

 

I bought two boot bags from tepui. Makes life easier.

Mine came with a shoe bag... My wife loves it!

 

That's a no-go for me and the hard shell RTT. I'll need to keep them inside unless it's nice weather and I have the door open as an awning. There's no way to keep shoes out of the weather outside the hard shell RTT that I can see.

 

That bag looks comfy as hell. Trying to decider the differences in bags on the website now.

 

My CVT hard shell came with shoe bags. But the supplied screws don't fit in the threads....

Need to reach out to them what the deal with that is.

 

Does the shoe bag simply hang inside?

Looking for anyone that has a 4-5 man RTT on a Tacoma, I have a 2015 double cab with the 5ft bed, just looking for any ideas for the bed rack configuration. I'm looking at doing the rack over the cab about 20 inches due the the size of the RTT I'm getting. Looking at the Ruff Stuff 4x4 4-5 man with the annex and the side Canopy set up. Anyone out there that might have this set up?

 

Hmmm... I don't think I want my shoes hanging outside, in January, when it's raining or snowing. This may be perfect for Summer though.

 

If you get the my shoe bags are under the canopy when my cvt is set up

 

The bags are made of the same canvas as the tents.
