    :canada:Hi all
I decided to change my setup. I did not like getting snow under the tent and not having a dry secure area for gear, especially when I go away from the vehicle.

Tonneau cover was cheap and I can still use it if I remove the tent. I secured the tent to the bed rails so the cover is locked down. I have a lock on the tailgate, so secure and dry!!!

I've yet to even test the boot bags I just hated how dirty my old tent would get on a trip. But I'll report back on everything Friday or late Thursday going for a quick one nighter in the snow. On Wednesday

78E4DCF6-41D2-4930-A8F0-224901439654.jpg Spent 2 nights in it over the weekend. This was what I woke up to the 1st night. Second night was a lot less. Scraped as much snow and ice off as possible before folding it up. Didn’t have time to open it up and let t fully dry since I got back late last night and then had to work this morning. Hoping to open and air it out tonight after work. I stayed warm all night it no heater needed.

Will be looking at boot bags now though. Has anyone have the Tepui boot bag out in the rain? Wondering how protected it will be.

Does anyone know if the CVT Boot bag will fit on the slides for the Tepui Ayer tent?

Anyone here with a Mt Rainier have it so that it opens to the rear of the truck? I've been thinking that it would be more convenient/functional to have it open to the rear instead of to the side of the truck. But, I think it's too long (wide when mounted in this way) to mount in this way. Curious if anyone has done that on their Tacoma and has pics of how it looks mounted in this configuration (preferable on a bed rack).

I've been hoarding REI gift cards over the past 2 years bc that's all people get me for Christmas and birthdays  and think I am ready once the dividen and 20% come in (May I think..) Any insight fellow Tacoma'ers?

Depending on the level of off-roading you do on top of a camper shell can raise your center of gravity and the bed rack is stronger, but it’s so nice having covered, protected, and easily accessible storage with a shell

My shell has been off for the last 4 months I miss it so much

Good to know, my concern in the past was that my Leer 100XQ shell wouldn't be able to sustain the weight of a RTT + me (175 ibs); however, people have mentioned they have the same shell and a RTT with no problems.

    Thanks for the reply.

But the RTT is totally optional

I say this because my bike has a flat tire and I’m mad at it

The two options I can think of are @CBI Offroad Fab and @kbvoodoo (I’m not sure if these tags worked)

CBIs stuff I couldn’t find on their site but on their Instagram there appear to be options for their full height “Overland” bed rack as well as their bed bars

For kbvoodoo I can’t find a good pic of it in use but here’s a link to their bracket:

Their bracket looks like it may work for similar style/angle bed racks and I’m almost tempted to grab some this summer for my RCI

Some vendors on here sell bed bars. Probably the cheapest option other than building your own
