I've got a Sand so it's almost a perfect color match.

    Yeah.
Same, I use 303 and have faded straps, but cover is still in great shape after 4 years or so.

@msting22 would you happen to know if your Ranger RTT zippers are YKK?

@eon_blue yours too. Does TuffStuff use YKK zips on all their tents?

I'm 99% sure but I'll have to confirm tonight when I get home.

I've been trying to cull info about the treeline as well. There's not a lot of unsponsered information out there, but here's a youtube guy talking about his. They are right at the top of my wishlist, but the only thing that kind of keeps them out of hte very top spot is that it looks like you have to stake down the outer edge of the tent past the ladder. I don't htink other tents require that, they likely have it as an extra security in the wind measure, but it seems like Treeline is almost part of the design. But from what I can tell, the treeline is slightly lighter than similarly sized tents, which is a big plus for me... and might trump that need to stake it down.

I'll try to clear up some confusion on my rack system. First off the racks are two different racks with about 1" in between the two, this allows plenty of room for cab to bed flex. I have had this system on our shop truck for over a year, been on many trails, poison spider, hells revenge, hole in the rock, black bear pass and many more. I have had no issues. Most of these trails were run with a full length rtt.
On a hard shell tent with the flush mount rails you will need to rais the tent about 1" and only attach to the bed rack, I do offer a quick mount tent bar that will do this for you, otherwise a spacer would work. You do not want to mount anything across both racks but it is ok to have over with a little clearance fo flex.
You can however haul long non ridged long items across both racks such as lumber, kayaks, canoe etc.
hope this clears things up a bit. IMG_0182.jpgIMG_0037.jpgIMG_0166.jpgIMG_0169.jpgIMG_0049.jpg

    Yeah.
That third pic is badass, and I like your rack system. Not for me at the moment, but looks great.

Handles On the bottom and the box is a bolt on accessories box, this will hold maxtrax or rotopax an gives a nice quick mount while keeping a clean look. Also helps with arrow dynamics. This can also be mounted to the top or the rear bumper when available.

I take the top cover off and remove the mattress and mat before lifting. Much easier to lift the ruggedized solo that way.

Damn. Just put my rtt on the Tacoma and took it out for the first time. 120mi round trip. And averaged 21mpg over the whole trip. It’s mounted on top of my new shell. I expected to lose a lot more mpg!

holy shit thats better than what i get without a tent mounted! I get like 19-20 mpgs and the only upgrades I have are 265 KO2s. Is your truck mostly stock? I just got a new shell and I'm gonna throw a rtt on it and I was hoping it wouldnt affect my milage that bad.

I am all stock and don’t have a lead foot(most days).
I need to do something about my rear leafs now though. The back was a bit saggy with the tent, topper, and all the gear.

Yeah I stay under 70 mph and under 2000 rpms. I am actually thinking about what I'm gonna do about my suspension too. Im thinking just a wheelers aal in the back to support all the weight.

So what are y'all doing for lighting? I have a small solar panel, 26,000mah power bank and an Illuminoodle, but would like to basically replicate what Tapui offers with the low-cost led strips available on Amazon. Photo for attention

im using an LED strip wired to a USB connection which i power with a 9v battery. Works great. I unplug it before i fold it down and make sure the switch on the batter pack is off.

i have it ran on the center bow in the tent. Works well so far. I need to get pics at night with it on.
