Do you have any pictures of the inside where the tailgate folds down? Does it interfere with the ladder? and is the back opening big enough to where you can access the truck bed and close enough to prevent too big of an opening?

I'm curious to know your thoughts on the Yakima Skyrise... I either see people loving it or hating it.

I'll share my thoughts after I get to really use it. Reviews I've read are more negative towards the smaller version. So far I really like it, super easy to set up. Very comfortable and super light at 115lbs. The material is not as thick as CVTs or other RTTs so well see how it holds up, but that is the reason I went with this one... Lightweight from a company known for their quality.

IMG_20180501_165111008_HDR.jpg Almost ready to ride. Waiting on my airbags and two clamps to be made. But it's up there. IMG_20180501_165132511_HDR.jpg

Gray, and I ordered the Firestone rear air bags, I have a cooler/rod rack I put out the rear receiver also, so I need the extra spring for towing that thing. I have the Helwig overload springs now, but I don't think they will work with the tent on also.IMG_20170830_123130932.jpg

    Yeah.
The Ride Rites are great, had them on my 2012. Ran the valves to either side of the license plate and used a bike pump (I have a fat tire bike pump that only goes to 30 psi, so it's accurate at the lower pressures). With your setup, you might want to make the valves more accessible from the side. Do NOT tie the bags together to a single inflation valve -- unless you like to feel like you are tipping over when cornering. Someone posted a good rule of thumb for determining the right pressure -- 1 psi for every 40 pounds of weight is a good starting point. With where you have the weight hanging of the back with more leverage, may need to add a little.

Thanks, I actually bought the union tee fitting, but I'll just skip that. Thanks for the info

Are you installing Daystar cradles for the bags? I’m going to get the same bags but not sure if cradles are necessary.

Not sure what they are, was going to install the kit as it came. What are these Daustar cradles your speaking of? I assume these are poly bushings of some sort

Allows the bottom of the airbag to "float".

Got ya. So instead of it being secured to the leaf spring it just floats over the cup. I'll have to check those out.

Correct. I think they run around $70 for the pair. I also remember seeing a package deal with bags and cradles somewhere, maybe Amazon.

If you're going to run them I think it's a good idea to have them floating. I've had them on since 2012, no complaints.
