Finally joining the club and got my @Mobtown Offroad bed rack and Tepui Ayer completely on the truck today. The Ayer fits me, my wife, and Corgi perfectly but man, I definitely should have opted for a bigger tent since there's SO much room left on the bed rack haha. Looking forward to breaking it all in next weekend!

 

Getting spooled up for a solo 2-month, 10,000 mile road trip.

Nice! This is my current project. Fits the quad underneath and I can setup camp, unhitch and go have fun.

 

that’s awesome... just taking lunch now from gutting this thing & adding some roof bars for the tent.





Used to be a speed monitor trailer. So the good news is it’s wired for 4 batteries and solar!

 

That's pretty cool. That will save a tone of money and time

I actually did just add one. It's hard to tell in the pictures.

 

Great Idea.. May just do before it becomes an issue.

 

Right got a point. It's actually pretty solid surprisingly. I welded gussets to all corners as well.

 

Right I'm not too worried about it. Plus having a welder helps A LOT. If it fails, I'll limp home and redo it.

Gfc would be pretty cool. Just a lot of money I bet. I got this rtt for a good deal so no point in getting rid of it now. I just love not having it on the truck anymore.

 

I hate to be that guy but i would turn up the heat on the welder and not trigger weld those gussets have little to no penetration and are bound to fail over time.

 

So I tried but my little 110 welder kept blowing the circuit. I tried laying beads and it would blow. So this was the best I could do. I know its prone to failure not getting the right penetration. But that's what I get for not getting a 220v

 

Ah Got it makes sense. Also you might of been on a 15amp circuit try and use a dedicated 20amp and you shouldn't have a problem cranking it up!

 

Cool I appreciate this looking out. No offense taken. I'm just working with what I got. I'll have to get a 20amp . I'm loving your relocate btw. 12in kings made a world of difference in my ride.

 

Here is my Roam Adventure V2 at the NW Overland rally. Mounted by our Front Runner load bar kit for first gen tacos.

 

FYI, I picked up some sweet lockable totes at Walmart. 45 dollars each, 45 gallons each. Pretty heavy wall construction, bungee slots, cup holders on top. I will try them out next week when we overland at the state park.

 

Looking for some advice. Made a rack to go above the bakflip. Tent, awning, Tred Pro's, etc. Looking for a way to store above the backflip below the tent. Any ideas? I thought about the @KB Voodoo bed basket. That's still a possibility.

Also ditching the smitty tent and looking for a cvt or tepui. @Cascadia Tents planning on having any Mt. Rainier Extended Stargazer Summits in Stargazer Gray in stock soon?
