I'm still using the same hardware as described in the post without issue so far. Seems to be holding well.

Nobody needs that lifted "overland" shit. this is practical af. I'm holding out to find a good deal on a utility trailer to do this same thing

Maybe not where you ride. But where I go, the lift is pretty necessary.

I think you misunderstood me. I was referencing the trailer. The trailer would stay at home base while the real wheeling happened with the truck

I can't believe how much money people spend on those "overland" trailers. I went to tractor supply and got their cheapest 5x8 for $685. I have a quad too so I wanted to build something I can bring my toys with and set up camp.

Got ya. Even where I go to camp and fish that lifted trailer is sick and would be nice so you don't drag the axle like a plow through the sand. But I understand. Sorry for that.

I’ve bought a 4’x7’ trailer from tractor supply and I think the quality is pretty good for their price. I would buy another one. I’m building a off-road camping trailer with mine. So it will be enclosed with slide outs and doors and my Rtt on top. Only thing I did was welded the tongue since it’s just bolted on and added some braces to the tongue to help stiffen up the trailer. I had a M1101 military trailer before this and it was definitely to big for me and what I wanted to do with it.

If anyone around the Fresno, CA area is interested in a Yakima Skyrise 3, the Fresno REI has one that will be at their garage sale on Aug 11th. It's priced at 50% off, so $750. The return card said the guy used it twice and didn't like the condensation build-up. The threading up one corner is also torn 1-2" from the bottom. You might be able to buy it tomorrow if you want; the manager offered it to me. Just wanted to share the info!

Quality is good but like @K_Matthews13 said. You have to gusset it. I took mine in a trail yesterday and today which most people wouldn't take their truck. Well I bent the shit out of the rear support to the tongue. Looks like tongue #3 wil have to be longer. I should extend it the length of the trailer. Trip was fun but being deserted with a dead battery sucked. $300 later and a tow company to deliver me a jumper box on a Polaris rzr worked.

Nice! I'm interested in the 6FT tan awning but saw that it only comes with a grey car cover. Is there anyway to get that in a black car cover to match my Ayer color combo?

Hey fellow RTT owners, I am in a debate of upgrading my suspension for my 2007 Tacoma. I have a Tepui Kukenam Sky 3 tent on the truck bed. I wanted to see what everyone is using for your suspension to stabilize the weight in the back and will give me some clearance for light off-roading. I currently have a 3-inch lift on the truck right now but I am wanting an upgrade that won't break the bank as well. I'm willing to spend no more than $1500 for front and back. Any education and recommendation on this issue would be highly helpful. Thanks, everyone.

What parts are you using 3" lift kit are you sitting on now? Could help others offer suggestions based on the current setup.
