Love your butt tho- I was going to get a Pelfrey rear but Mobtown looks very similar and stocked for it. The other butts are just too big, like SoS Concepts. Not as stream line.

@HolyHandGrenade selling his bed and bruteforcefab rear bumper for $1500. Then you can sell the bed sides for something, and make back $

EDIT: sent the guy with the windoor cap a trade offer..

It’s $800 more now. It goes up $100 a day for you.

Goes down $10 a day for anyone else.

    Only seems fair.

Sort of a random question, but did anyone that picked up a CVT tent get bungees with it? I looked all over and did not get them, not sure if they are still sending them out with them?
If anyone has them can they give me the lengths so I can pick some up? I think they’ll help with closing the tent on solo trips, I think that’s exactly what they’re for?

I have my chandlerdoom tent mounted on my prinsu rack. It hangs about 12” past the front windshield/rack and a little more than that in the back. It’s working ok except I’m worried one day the mounts on the rtt fail while on the freeway from all the air rushing up the windshield into the bottom of the rtt and it comes flying off. Plus it acts like a brick up there. I don’t notice much of an mpg difference but you can feel it up there.

Originally i had a shell to mount it on but plans changed. I’ve considered a bed rack and the extra length hanging over the rear bumper (over the spare tire) BUT i don’t want to commit the money for a rack and not be 100% sure I’ll like it.

I’m considering going back to a soft rtt on bed bars just to get it off the roof. I love the hard shell and i love how easy it is to use at camp but hate it mounted over the cab

I had my soft rtt over the cab and shared the same driving experience. I had a rack built that wraps around my Bestop. after moving the tent to the rear, it now feels like there's downforce on the rear wheels.

If you were closer, I’d definitely be interested. If i ordered new, I’d probably get either a bamf or brute force fab rack that bolts to the bed.

I personally don’t like the racks that go over the toppers. My ideal plan, If it isn’t super expensive, would be to get a mid or full height rack that bolts to the bed and have a marine canvas company make me a cover to go around the rack. Would be solid as hell and I’d retain the same soft top look and some protection for my gear from the elements
