*THE RTT Owners Thread (With BS)*

Yeah I scored, just in time to have some money burning a hole in my pocket, too. I loved my tent cot, but the RTT is just a whole other dimension of convenience and comfort. I've already had it set up 3 times in my front yard just to lay in it and practice setup/takedown. The wife loves it, and it will make taking her camping so much easier than a flimsy tent on hard ground with air mattresses. Being able to leave your sleeping bags and pillows up in the tent and just fold it up and go is a HUGE convenience. The material is twice as heavy as any good tent, but not as thick as military canvas. It's somewhere in between. A good waterproofing spray on the outside, let it air out, and it's ready for a storm.

I am so impressed with the Tepui construction, and the comfort! That 2" foam pad is more than enough, and the strength and stability really impressed me. I'm 240# so I was leery at first, but I climb up and down that ladder and move all around in the thing and it's rock solid. It is rated at being able to hold 600#, so there's plenty left for the wifey and our clothing without even coming close to the max.

 

True that. I have the sleeping gear, clothing, myself and girlfriend and two full sized huskies in there with no problem. Not the same brand but they are all about the same kind of construction.

I find that most of the RTT's out there on the market are pretty similar, but for 700$ i wouldn't complain, you got a deal thats for sure, I paid 700$ for my tent as well and the dude threw in an annex.

I really enjoy sleeping in mine, just gotta buy some pillows, sleeping bags and whatever else i think i'll need up there to keep in all the time.

Yeah, i was on Craigslist randomly and found mine. The guy said he had it on there for a few months at that price. I was confused as to why no one else jumped on it. It was in a different city closer to the majority of AZ TWers

 

Around here I'm in the middle of nowhere I can never find things I'm looking for. Most of the time have to travel to get them

Cl is def hit or miss depending on the area... I know i've seen crazy stuff go in California's CL and surrounding areas. People around here just arent into what I'm into lol

 

Ya same here. I don't mind driving a couple hours either and don't care what color it is just want one on my truck. lol
