Had to account for the tent...keep bed flex from causing contact with the cab.

mine hangs over the back. While not much, in your case, it could provide some cover if youre cooking from the tailgate. I also wanted mine to be more streamline with my rack

Mine hangs over the back about even with my bumper. I will most likely invest in an awning or possible just a pop up like people do for tailgating with for the rear if I see a need.

And I just verified a fork mount for the mountain bike will work. The back end fits under the rack just fine.

Yeah, your roof rack wouldn't fit in my garage. but that's probably about right to keep the tent and and cab apart.

Hey RTT owners, I'm looking for some advice. I decided that I want to put an RTT in the bed of my truck (long bed access cab). I just got some flush mount bed bars that I modified to fit within my Bestop. I'm looking at Tuff Stuff to start out with since it has all the features I want, but a good intro to RTT price. What do y'all think? Any other brands to look at for my first tent?

But I store my tent in the garage when I'm not camping.

ok. got it. I've draped a tarp over the tent as an extra fly a few times and secured it somewhat gently with small bungees. although the tent still needed a dry out session after the trip, the fly, nor the rest of the tent got soaked.

It'll be fine, as long as you aren't leaving it stored for a few days wet. I've gone from packing up in the rain on a Sunday morning to finally drying it out on a Monday evening and it's fine. I wouldn't worry about it. Also taking the rain fly off would just be a PITA compared to just packing it up and going
