You could fab an L bracket that used the mount holes for a roofrack pretty cheap I suppose.

Correct, the Rainier extended. Two of us sleeping in it and it’s super spacious. Definitely could handle smaller; however, I prefer the extra space. Newly married and will most likely be adding a dog to the mix soon so the extra space was preferred.

Snow is easier to deal with than rain in my eyes. You can get a brush and sweep at least the majority of the snow off. Rain water just soaks in, and you have to air it out. Super fun when you live in an apartment complex.

@Gunshot-6A I guess we haven't gotten very much snow in the last few years...

So what I'm confused about is - I'm going to have to leave it on my truck, if I have the cover on and it gets hit with rain do you still need to air it out or only if the cover is off?

Should only be if it gets on the tent body itself. Not sure what you are rocking, but the Tepui cover has been bombproof through 2 of our Utah summers and a winter.

Took a lot of effort for me not to upgrade from the Ayer via that sale.

C4 is the rack I have. Quite affordable for what it is. Breaks down into the 2 sides, and 2 cross bars plus the froward brace. Could almost fit in a small coat closet if need be, but is incredibly stout when bolted together. If you are in Sandy/Midvale neighborhood, you can come take a look. Puts the tent bottom right above the top of the window.
